In March 2023, Silicon Valley Bank collapsed. Amboss didn’t bank there—but our payroll provider did. Half a payroll vanished overnight. image They told us: "You'll need to resend the funds." That moment revealed a few (very personal) stark truths about traditional banking: 1. You don’t control your money. Even if your bank survives, their partner’s might not. 2. Diversifying banks isn’t enough. Hidden counter-parties = hidden risk. 3. Their reserve requirement is 0%. Your balance is an IOU backed by nothing. 4. Bitcoin and Lightning are your answer. No trust required. That’s why we’re building Amboss. To create financial sovereignty—and convenience—at scale. #lightningnetwork #amboss

Running a Lightning node can be quite profitable... But also time-consuming (and a little frustrating) if you’re not a "techie". Now imagine if you could earn higher BTC yield... Without building the hardware... Managing the channel liquidity... Or touching the command line. We believe this should be possible for ALL Bitcoiners, where you... - Put your dormant BTC to work... - And preserve your self-custody... - While avoiding the constant burden of proficient node management... All controlled by the most powerful data & automation layer for Lightning. We see a future where all of this is possible. Who knows? 🤷‍♂️ #lightningnetwork

Most businesses aren't ready for BTC on their balance sheet. But they will accept more dollars—with fewer headaches. 5 benefits stablecoins can bring to Lightning payments (using Taproot Assets): - Instant settlement, no chargebacks - Lower fees than Visa or bank wires - Global reach without FX friction - Built on Bitcoin, with self-custodial options - A path to BTC <> USD swaps (no centralized exchanges) Taproot Assets will let Lightning speak fiat—on Bitcoin’s terms. image

Bitcoin removes the gatekeepers. Lightning removes the wait. No accounts. No borders. No settlement delays. Just value—moving freely. You don’t have to trust a bank or processor. You can verify every payment yourself. Anyone can run a node. Anyone can earn for providing liquidity. This isn’t just an upgrade. It’s a different foundation. Financial freedom starts by embracing the future—decentralized. 👏

Lightning isn't just for micro-payments anymore. It’s becoming the next-gen rails for transactions of all sizes: - Now routes $10, $100, even $1,000+ (no protocol upgrades needed) - Businesses will soon move stablecoins at scale, not just sats - Routing fees often fall below 0.05%—cheaper than Visa - Payments settle instantly with no chargebacks or fraud windows The future isn’t slow, fee-heavy, or reversible. It’s Lightning.

Picking Lightning node peers is like shaking hands at a conference. You can connect with anyone, but some attendees have more valuable networks than others. Look for these 3 traits that reliable Lightning peers always share: - Well-connected — They’re linked to high-traffic nodes, not stranded on the edge - Proven uptime — Their channels stay open and stable - Historical reliability — Years of performance prove they’re worth trusting Amboss reveals all of this on the Magma Marketplace—so you don’t have to guess. You don’t need 100 channels. You need just a few of the right handshakes. 🤝 image #lightningnetwork #amboss

Are you ready to commit BTC to a Lightning routing node? ⚡️ Here’s 4 signs you should consider it: - You’ve got at least 0.4 BTC (1+ is ideal for solid routing capacity) - You want yield—but not from risky tokens, staking, or custodians - You believe in self-custody while your capital still earns - You want to support the global Bitcoin payment network and get paid for it Sovereign yield isn’t just possible—it’s how Lightning grows. #lightningnetwork

March LINER data is in: Yields on the Lightning Network increased from 1.38% APY in February to 2.11% in March. Low bitcoin transaction fees (on-chain) are making it easier to earn bitcoin from leasing lightning channels. image This is a special type of yield because it doesn't require sacrificing bitcoin custody...you can earn from the payment utility of bitcoin. To learn more, read up on the LINER metric:

The Lightning Network produces yields as well as rapid payment infrastructure. All liquidity purchases from the Magma Marketplace are reported within our statistics dashboard, revealing significant yields from Bitcoin held in self custody. To make payments work, there's a market for Bitcoin on Lightning! image #lightning #lightningnetwork See the historical yields here:

Brace yourselves for enterprise-grade decentralized payments! The entire lightning network is extremely decentralized from hobbyists to Fortune 500s. LN micropayments are possible universally (impossible for trad payments) while enterprises can instantly settle >$100k. image This simulation uses crowdsourced and randomized data to show how decentralized and performant the lightning is for users from hobbyists to enterprises. Slices of the top network nodes are based on network nodes public capacity. To create this max flow report, sources and destinations are selected randomly to perform exhaustive multipath payments. The resulting performance for the entire network is an extremely conservative metric to motivate highly decentralized and efficient payments. Learn more about Max Flow and why it's important here:

The United States has 3.5 million miles of rivers and 25,000 miles are considered "waterways" (i.e. navigable by boat). That's 0.7% navigability. Because of that statistic, should we say that the US river system has failed?

Lightning payment reliability for $100 payments has been launched higher by Bitcoin's price increase. $100 of BTC can now be sent anywhere in the lightning network with a 77% chance of success, up 20% from last year. To improve further, lightning network topology must shift. image
