Khan Krum (803–814) Khan Krum was one of the most significant and powerful rulers of the First Bulgarian Empire, remembered for both his fierce military might and his uncompromising legal reforms. His reign transformed Bulgaria from a tribal confederation into a disciplined medieval state, feared and respected across Europe. --- 🛡 Expansion and Military Power Krum came to power after a period of instability and quickly consolidated control over Bulgaria.
