From my friend Elliot: LUNAR ECLIPSE IN AQUARIUS 🔱 August 27-28, 2026 The Ketu eclipse is where we are forced to let go, and the Rāhu eclipse is where we are pulled deeper into worldly experience. Tonight there is a very deep, partial lunar eclipse of the Moon with Rāhu: about 96% of the Moon’s disk enters Earth’s umbra at the height of the eclipse. What have you been unable or unwilling to see about the condition of your mind? The eclipse occurs at 10°41' Aquarius in the constellation Śatabhiṣā. Its name means “100 healers” or “100 medicines”. Its ruling deity is Varuṇa, the force of natural order and divine law. Varuṇa is also the keeper of boundaries, oaths, and the unseen order of secret cults, spies, and saboteurs. Right now you may feel that you have tried 100+ methods in attempt to fix a problem, but just because there are 100+ attempts does not mean you have succeeded. It simply means Rāhu is pulling you deeper into the experience. Śatabhiṣā is profoundly Rāhu-like, and because this is a Rāhu eclipse, the themes of what is hidden beneath appearances, isolation, investigation, diagnosis, breaking through conventional explanations, unconventional knowledge, technology and systems, exposure of concealed information, and, most importantly: healing through confronting what has been suppressed, will take the forefront of your mental focus right now. Looking deeper, the eclipse occurs in the 2nd pada of Śatabhiṣā in Capricorn navāṁśa. Here Capricorn navāṁśa is the support system and structure of divine law, but it is also the graveyard where those who challenge it go to be punished. Śatabhiṣā's Capricorn navāṃśa creates distance through punishment, but it doesn't necessarily sever ties completely. This is about letting go of old, dead weight. Its about taking space to straighten things out and get things in order. The full Moon here can feel quite stern, solemn, and serious. Late night brainstorming with the llm companion and narrowing down potential education paths. --- Worked for 23s Ah — that was Foothill, and it was not eliminated because it failed to fit a program. It simply wasn’t available this Fall in the specific “ethical hacking” course. Foothill’s Step 1 found a Cybersecurity Certificate of Achievement (27 units) containing: C S 53A Cybersecurity Fundamentals C S 53B Firewalls C S 53C Ethical Hacking C S 53D Computer Forensics That pathway was explicitly identified as relevant to privacy/security, trust systems, accountability, law/evidence, governance and ethics. But in Step 2, the Green Fall course was C S 53A Cybersecurity Fundamentals, not C S 53C Ethical Hacking. C S 53A is open, fully asynchronous, 4.5 units, and has no published prerequisite; it covers security policy, network defense, cryptography, PKI, intrusion detection and related security foundations. So the likely sequence is: Cybersecurity Fundamentals first → Ethical Hacking later, depending on how Foothill sequences the certificate and when 53C is offered. And I think this matters because you just gave a much stronger preference signal than we had before. “Ethical Hacking really jumped out at me” should now elevate the cybersecurity strand from “maybe” to something we actively preserve. It also fits your broader AI direction unusually well: AI ethics + responsible AI + cybersecurity / adversarial systems + open source + governance/accountability That could be much more distinctive than just “AI literacy.” It gives you insight into how systems fail, how they are attacked, how trust is verified, and how defensive/adversarial thinking works—without necessarily becoming a software developer. So I would now modify the Foothill planning slightly: C S 53A Cybersecurity Fundamentals = strong candidate for Fall. C S 53C Ethical Hacking = strong future-course target. C S 53D Computer Forensics = also worth preserving for later, especially given the investigation/evidence angle. And the 27-unit cybersecurity certificate is large enough that, unlike the 12-unit LINC certificate, it may be a more meaningful secondary credential to test administratively later. I think this is worth adding to the next Foothill prompt before finalizing P1: test a P1 variant that includes Cybersecurity Fundamentals and treats Ethical Hacking as a deliberate next-quarter continuation.
