I personally do not want to store and relay additional data that is unnecessary on my node. This is primarily why I choose Knots and spam filtering. I also believe it’s important to have the blockchain size limited as much as possible so individuals can still afford to run nodes in the future. Lastly, I have not seen a valid reason to increase the OP_RETURN data carrier limit, it provides no value so why change it? Where is the incentive coming from?
