Eggs might be one of the most useful foods in the kitchen. One large egg gives you roughly 6 grams of protein, plus nutrients like choline, B12, and selenium. Cheap. Fast. Works for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Nutrition doesn’t always need to be complicated. What’s your favorite way to cook an egg?

We’ve asked a lot of questions this week intentionally. So let’s end with the big one: What makes feeding yourself or your household harder than it should be? Don’t tell us what feature to build. Tell us about the frustrating moment. That’s what we want to understand.

How many recipes do you have saved right now? Bookmarks. Screenshots. TikToks. Instagram posts. Browser tabs. Maybe even cookbooks. You probably don’t need another one. The interesting problem is: How do we turn “I should make that” into dinner?

When someone says: “I want to eat healthier.” What does that mean to you? More protein? More vegetables? Less processed food? Smaller portions? Cooking at home? There probably isn’t one answer. That’s why we’re asking.

Healthy eating gets complicated quickly. Protein. Calories. Carbs. Ingredients. Serving sizes. What the family will eat. What you have time to make. Maybe people don’t need more nutrition rules. Maybe they need better context and easier choices.

New episode of Connection, presented by Zap Cooking, drops tonight at 7 PM ET. ⚡️ More Bloom. Less Doom. 🌱 This one is solo. I get into the consumption trap, creating vs. consuming, AI as an intelligence amplifier, the builder mindset, gratitude, and why understanding everything that’s wrong shouldn’t become a substitute for actually doing something. We have some great guests lined up in the pipeline, too. Be sure to like and subscribe — but only if we earn it. YouTube: https://youtube.com/@zapcooking Fountain: Apple Podcasts: Spotify:

Do you actually meal plan? If not, what stops you? Too rigid? Too much work? Plans always change? You don’t know what you’ll want? Or you simply hate planning?

Meal planning advice usually starts too big. Seven breakfasts. Seven lunches. Seven dinners. Perfect macros. Perfect grocery list. Forget that. Start with one meal. One thing you know you’ll actually want this week. One decision made now is one less decision waiting for you later.

Who is the unofficial meal planner in your household? And the more important question: Do they actually want that job?

Maybe AI’s best kitchen use isn’t inventing elaborate recipes. Maybe it’s helping carry some of the mental load. What should we eat? What fits the week? What do we need? What can we use up? Build the schedule. Adjust it when life changes. Move what you need to the grocery list. The goal isn’t more AI. It’s less to think about.

There’s a job in many households that doesn’t get called a job: Deciding what everyone eats. Not cooking. Deciding. Remembering what’s in the house. Knowing what people like. Planning around schedules. Making the list. Answering “what’s for dinner?” again tomorrow. If you’re that person: Is the cooking actually the hard part?

Tomorrow, make one meal from something you already have before buying more food. If you do it, post it. Nothing fancy required. We want to see what people turn into dinner.

What usually happens to food you intended to cook but didn’t? Plans changed? Forgot it was there? Bought too much? Didn’t know what to make with it? Someone in the house didn’t want it? We’re curious because “food waste” may actually be several different problems hiding under one label.

For the third year in a row, Zap Cooking is proud to be a sponsor of Nostr Valley. ⚡️ The idea has always been simple: bring people together. Builders. Creators. Bitcoiners. Nostr users. AI tinkerers. And people who are simply curious about where all of this is going. Nostr Valley isn’t about sitting through a day of presentations. It’s about meeting people, sharing ideas, making connections, and seeing what others are building. Year three. Same mission. Keep building the community. 📍 Happy Valley Brewing 📅 October 17 ⏰ 12–4 PM Nostr. Bitcoin. AI. Builders. Community. Connections. nostrvalley.com #foodstr

Try this before your next grocery trip: 1. Find one thing that needs used. 2. Build one meal around it. 3. Buy only what’s missing. That’s it. Food waste often starts long before food reaches the trash. It starts when we buy things without a plan for them.

What ingredient do you constantly end up with too much of? Rice? Eggs? Cabbage? Half an onion? Something else? There might be a useful product problem hiding in the leftovers.
