No need to advocate for transparency from government if everything is privatised and govt has no data to share No need to advocate for privacy if there are no taxes that require financial monitoring and no IP laws that give companies the ability to create walled gardens that prevent users from switching easily No need to advocate for free speech if property rights are strong enough that anyone can purchase spectrum and equipment, provide internet services and create media platforms or enable others to do the same Big IF's Or are they?

BOLT12 x Rust Lightning 'An initial version of async payments is now supported. The current implementation is specific to LDK and only LDK supports paying static invoices. However, because BOLT 12 invoice requests will gracefully "upgrade" to a non-static invoice when the recipient comes online, offers backed by static invoices are expected to be payable by any BOLT 12 payer.' https://github.com/lightningdevkit/rust-lightning/releases/tag/v0.2.0-rc2

On social media's supposed problem of 'corporate control' Two possible alternatives to the status quo: •People who do not like it voluntarily exit from them and attempt at building alternatives by deploying their time, labour, capital, energy and money - Nostr, Secure Scuttlebutt, Bluesky, Mastadon, Nostr, Rumble, Truth Social, Pear by Holepunch, Pubky. •The state takes over the corporations and the means of producing the platforms, intervenes into the social media market and decides how big a platform can get before being broken up, and sets up a license and permit system where people need to ask permission before building a platform or a protocol on the internet. The spirit of these choices applies to any given industry which faces similar problems.

It's very well executed and just works.

Someone asks Saifedean at a PFS panel 'what do you think is the best resolution to this violent political conflict?' He answers 'I think establishment of a system of property rights for everyone somehow', but adds a caveat that it might be unrealistic. The fact that it actually could be considered unrealistic and even utopian is incredible. It's possibly the most realistic suggestion one can give at any point in time or place for any conflict.

No circuit breakers, price caps, price supports or any other bureacratic interventions. No cap on leverage. No bureaucrat to bribe or lobby. No ability or resources to track every single transaction on and off both the chain and the orderbooks. No way to stop arbitrage. No way to know why, how or when the price does what it does. Open 24/7/365. Can be traded against literally anything. Highly liquid on a few pairs already. No jurisdictional borders to stop it. No licenses or permissions required. A pure, unbridled free market. What a privilege to bear witness to all this and document it on the open internet.

Bitcoin won't fix governments. They are monopolies. They will be broken in nature as long as the monopoly privileges remain. No person, group or technology can fix that.
