I used to voluntarily test both alpha and beta builds from @npub1xnf0...lpr5 a while back.
Because I tested early builds, I've had my channels with Zeus' LSP force-closed or lost because of bugs 4 or 5 times now.
Every single time, Zeus restored them in full, once even with extra capacity. Which is to say that their support is excellent.
@npub19kv8...e2qd handles it personally.
So if channels were lost or closed during the recent incident, I can vouch that they'll get restored. Just make sure you mail them here:

There are random features I would wish a social app/website/client to have, but wouldn't really ask devs for it
And then a few weeks later I'd see Amethyst adding them 😂

Been rewatching and watching a lot of American romcom classics that I've missed, mostly from 1990 - 2010/15ish.
I hear it's the Golden age for the genre. Music's great. I'm having a lot of fun. And it's just people trying to entertain.
What do you think are the ones I must watch?
Wavelength is Lightning Labs' new toolkit to make it easier for devs to integrate lightning payments. It seems similar to Breez SDK.
According to them, it uses an 'Ark-like' settlement layer under the hood. Idk what that means, but they're saying unilateral exits are possible.
Their marketing is focused on 'agentic payments', 'agentic commerce', etc. Despite a lot of devs being super excited about it, I don't share their enthusiasm. Maybe I don't know enough or understand its implications.
Announcing Wavelength: Bitcoin on Easy Mode for Agents and Humans 〰️⚡
We're excited to announce the alpha release of Wavelength, a toolkit for adding self-custodial bitcoin (and stablecoin) payments to any application…
How is it that every political revolution that has claimed to 'free' people ends up with its leaders establishing a new state or occupying existing state machinery?
And then it ends up making things more or less, often less, 'free' then it previously was.
Over the years, decades or centuries, things end up at the same place where they started. I guess that's why they're called 'revolutions'.
Mainstream history always presents political movements as representations of a long march towards a better future. Apparently human societies never go backwards and can only get more and more 'enlightened'.
I suppose when you only look at material aspects of life, it might seem to be true.
There might be a view that a society in which people increasingly dismiss the spiritual aspects of life is actually digressing and going backwards. I do not see it represented.
Or a view that we are living in quite possibly the worst time in human history when it comes to 'freedom'. I don't see that represented often either.
The mass movements I see on the news, the ones with angry protesters, signboards and anti-authoritarian rhetoric, never call for reduction in government power but an increase in it.
With every transfer window in Football, I see player valuations inflate to levels I didn't think it could possibly reach.
Deals are being made for £100 - £120 million like it's normal now.
'Ending fiat' doesn't necessarily mean people stop using dollars, yen, rupees, etc.
I heard Bob Murphy from Mises Institute making a point that 'ending the fed' doesn't mean people will suddenly stop using dollars. Americans used dollars without the existence of a Federal reserve or any central bank at all during multiple periods in the country's history.
Same goes for people from all over the world with regards to the respective currencies they use today. Central banking has not always existed. It's a modern phenomenon.
An important detail to keep in mind while arguing in favour of ending fiat is that dollars, like every other widely-used fiat currency today, had to be adopted organically on the market first.
They used to represent claims on/units of monetary metals, which themselves were adopted organically. They are not inherently fiat. They can go back to being sound money.
Ending fiat is rather about:
•Ending central banking and introducing real market competition in banking and credit
•Letting interest rates emerge organically on the market
•Abolishing legal tender laws, currency controls, capital controls and letting people buy and sell using the money they prefer while holding whatever currency in whatever amounts for however long they think best suits their economic needs.

To 'separate money and state' means to advocate for and enable the following to happen as ultimate ideals, however impractical they may seem to be:
•Abolition of legal tender laws and existence of market competition in money
•Abolition of capital gains taxes on all monetary goods
•Abolition of foreign exchange controls
•Abolition of price controls on money
•Abolition of central banks
•Disruption of fractional reserve banking by legalizing free banking or full-reserve banking while criminalizing fraud
•Transitioning from fully-planned or partially-planned interest rates to purely market-driven interest rates

Provision of atomic swap services will get more and more profitable as Bitcoin payments using Fedimint, Cashu, Spark, Bark, Arkade and Liquid proliferate, albeit slowly
I don't expect Boltz to be the only major service in that arena for long. It's possible that they see a lot of profits in stables and get distracted. Competitors might either leverage reputational advantages by being Bitcoin-only or undercut Boltz on fees. Boltz is quite established yes, but the market itself has a lot of room to grow.
The Government, i.e., the State, is a greedy corporation.
It is a monopoly by definition and in how it operates.
It does not like competition that can do things better or in a more efficient manner and will try to kill them off by undercutting them.
It raises prices and reduces quality of the services it provides.
It looks to increase its profits and reduce its costs.
It has employees who have their own ambitions to achieve, finances to look after, ladders to climb and families to look after.
It has different departments that don't have to agree with each other.
It has a logo and brand.
It has loyal customers and fanatics.
It is subject to the consequences of laws of economics and human action.
It can go bankrupt.
It has its own paid and unpaid marketing department.
It does not need to honour its promises or fulfill its contractual obligations and often doesn't.
It can and does enslave people in practice without seeming so on paper.
It does not need to be just and can and does define what is and isn't just.
It has the ability to exempt itself, its employees and allies from rules everyone else must follow.
