Is there a way to set my 0xChat cashu wallet as my default wallet in Amethyst, Yakihonne, or other Android clients? It'd beat manually copying over lightning invoices. #asknostr
One of the best ways to deal with the heat here is to sip on fresh coconut water throughout the day. The second best way may be to visit your nearest mall. Whether you're in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, or Manila, locals and visitors alike love the free air conditioning in the malls.
I decided to reinstall Citrine to see how it works. I never could quite see the point of it before, but let's test it out and see what happens this time around.
Has anyone used Robosats over I2P? If so, are you using the publicly listed domain on the Robosats site? I can't seem to get it to load. #asknostr #i2p #robosats #p2p
Using Proton, I've struggled to watch videos with NewPipe and FreeTube for a week or three now. Using my usual servers in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, etc have proved ineffective. Going slightly further afield (India, Japan, etc.) has been hit or miss. At npub1cj6ndx5akfazux7f0vjl4fyx9k0ulf682p437fe03a9ndwqjm0tqj886t6's suggestion, I tried changing things up even more and have greater success with servers in Nepal, Kazakhstan, Belgium, and places even more distant to East and Southeast Asia. Anyone have any idea why this would be occurring? Anyone else experiencing this? Would it be worth contacting Proton? If so, what data would be most helpful to provide them? I'm not exact a VPN or network expert by any stretch of the imagination. #asknostr View quoted note →
Argh! Both NewPipe (on my Android device) and FreeTube (on my desktop computers) are now down. I can't seem to view any content. Invidious has been hit or miss the last number of weeks. Piped has been dysfunctional on most instances for months. Are there any other, semi-stable options left out there? Or has YouTube/Google finally closed most of the loopholes? #asknostr
One of my bosses was bragging today about how he's preparing to make a MAJOR purchase of XRP. Talking to him, I couldn't pull out out any objective benefit or technological value in Ripple. I know that 99.999999999% of us are Bitcoin or Monero maxis, but... Has anyone seen ANY benefit whatsoever to XRP? All I see is... hype. #asknostr #XRP
Are there any FOSS alternatives that are able to copy this Ghibli style? I'd like to create one or two images, but I'd rather not use BigTech products to do so. #asknostr #Ghibli #Ghiblai #AI #AIArt View quoted note →
I'm seeing all sorts of Ghibli-style images out there now, from religious iconography to political cartoons. Why has this suddenly become popular? And is there a particular AI tool people are using to make these? #asknostr #Ghibli #StudioGhibli image
XMR nerds, I've encountered a small issue using Mostard. I can't tip quickly, as my wallet would need to verify the first transaction over quite a long period before I could move onto the next tip. Is there a recommended wallet where I could do some kind of coin control to have access to more than one UTXO so that I could split up the available funds? Or should I just have 2-3+ wallets if I want to make multiple tips over the span of, say, an hour? What would you recommend? #xmr #monero
"Talking about Putin's claims to the regions in eastern and southern Ukraine, [Steve] Witkoff suggested Russia had a right to them because they were majority Russian-speaking and repeated a false Kremlin claim that fair referenda there showed residents wanted to be absorbed by Russia." Let's take a vote and see how many Spanish-speaking areas of the southern United States would like "to be absorbed by" Mexico. 😅 #Russia #Ukraine #USA #Mexico #language #politics #humor #humour
What long-form (article) client are you using the most these days? Yakihonne? HablaNews? Another site? #asknostr
Niantic has sold its third-party games division, including Pokémon Go, Pikmin Bloom, and Monster Hunter, now, to Scopely for $3.5 billion, raising concerns about user location data. Pokémon Go relies on real-time location tracking for gameplay and ads, and the sale means this sensitive data could now be managed by a Saudi Arabian-owned company, sparking privacy concerns. #privacy
