Nostr bookmarks have been both a blessing and a curse for me. On the one hand, they're an easy way to quickly save a note. But on the other, the multiple clients issue means I have to check on both mobile and desktop where I might have saved something (and which client, as I'm a weirdo who uses multiple clients on both!).
Anyone know of a way to merge my bookmark lists or to make Nostr clients all access the same list?

The rain is pattering away on the rooftop outside. I've got some #darkacademia music playing while I drink hot tea and update some lesson plans for my students. It's a great start to the day.
This is one of the best takes I've seen so far.

#pope #popeleoxiv #catholicThese are some decent tips, but I'll have to give them some time to simmer a bit.
Right off the bat though, I'd counter that books are actually vitally important. We can learn loads from others' experiences and expertise. Instead of spending a lifetime to figure something out, enjoy someone else's story for an afternoon and apply their lessons to your life. View article →
Who thought it would be a good idea to burn plastics as fuel for kitchens? The general concept is utterly insane.
Investigative reports like this make me want to grow and cook all of my own food. Maybe someday, I can settle down and do so!

Tons of people on Github seem to have NewPipe+Sponsorblock projects. Is anyone using any of these? Is any particular project as reliable as the mainstream NewPipe?
Glancing at a few of these examples, most seem rather out-of-date, except for perhaps Tubular.

I've set aside this morning to work through a backlog of articles on my RSS feed reader, sip on some coffee, and listen to dark academia music.
I hope you'll find some time to do the same soon. To get you started, here are some links to the music playlist I'm enjoying right now along with a few articles I'm working through as well:

Weaponising the Non-Commercial Web
Drilling beneath the hype to expose the truth
I mean, if the guy didn't specify what kind of video editing he wanted...
It's been a long while since I last perused #bookstr, and I was pleasantly surprised to see people enjoying physical books again.
I often do the same, but whilst out and about, I'll often bring my Kobo or Moaan ereaders. They're more compact and will hold up significantly better than a paperback in my bag, whether on a day trip or flying abroad.
Anyone else do the same?
Just in the last few days, I've run across several sites that have implemented something called Anubis:
At first, I was a bit surprised to see the Anubis wait screen, as I've never encountered this kind of security mechanism before.
However, now that I've seen it several times, I have to ask: why aren't all webdevs using this instead of CAPTCHAs?

Over the last week or so, I've complained about Proton-related issues when using NewPipe, FreeTube, etc.
Watching via Kazakhstan, Nepal, or European countries has been incredibly slow, so I decided to try, server-by-server whether there were any possible options in Southeast Asia.
Each time I try a new one, I keep getting a new error from FreeTube:
"Error: YouTube has blocked your IP address from watching videos. Please try switching to a different VPN or proxy."
I think it may be time to write to Proton to see what can be done.

For being a fairly minimalistic client, I was surprised to see that Voyage has some unique features.
For example, I'm able to create notes anonymously. I'll test that out in a few minutes to see how that functions.
As well, notes can have subject lines and even attached topics. Pretty neat.
I got some great recommendations from fellow nostriches on text-only clients.
Right now, I'm transmitting this note via Voyage, which works great for skimming through the most recent text content. Let's see how it works for posting too.
Are there any text-only Nostr clients? While I love me some memes, I'd occasionally enjoy surfing through text-only content, whether on desktop or on my Android devices.
