Before this last storm cycle the Jasper Townsite had great sundog viewing. Sundog (or parhelion) are pairs of rainbow circles or arcs that appear on either side of the sun from cirrostratus or moist valley clouds (and can often foretell stormy weather soon!). #MyJasper

Our adventure starts flying into Rocky Pass, just outside of the Jasper Park boundary, travels along the Medicine Tent River over Cairn Pass, and finishes with a helicopter-pickup near the lower Southesk River. Spectacular scenery, serene forest, and wildlife-viewing potential exist on this remote section of trail.
