Debasement is definately not a tax. That rhetoric provides the Fed and our politicians cover. You don’t get a tax bill, and you don’t send a check to the IRS for debasement. When they print money, they are aggressing upon you, your children, the unborn, and the dead. Coercively extracting the productive energy, the real value created and stored inside that money. Its formal slavery, and we need to stop letting these fuckers off the moral hook.

“We can stop bemoaning the degeneracy of the youth and accept that they are simply a reflection of our elders’ prevailing moral character.” 👀 Too blunt? It’s kind of the entire purpose of civilization, passing on values.

We are trying to alert people to the fact that we are going to run off the edge of a cliff, by saying we aren’t running. That’s the confusing thing about using “broken,” a morally neutral term, morally. Yes, we won’t be running when we splat at the bottom, but we wont be a “we” then either.

Pulling on that thread a bit, we ask what property does money fail to satisfy? I see fulfillment of all formal properties. It’s more like “working” means righteous or just and “broken” means wrong or unjust. Does a tool possess the power to be the means to its end? working and broken point at the relation between a means and an end. (amoral) good and evil point at the relation between ends. (moral) Relationality disambiguates the overlapping meanings. Funny, the relation, the ration, the / , draws the line. the line between two things

I think “broken” is an attempt to point out that our monetary system is not right, it’s wrong, it’s contrary to natural law, it’s evil, without saying so.

“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.” If money is broken, then it’s not moral. Money is moral. Therefore, money is not broken.

Veterans day hits harder knowing what I know now about our monetary system. Debasement doesn’t just hurt you today. Nor your children’s future. Nor spit on the graves of those who spilled their blood for our country. We continually ask young men and women to stand up and answer the bell, to fight for freedom and ensure justice for all. I answered. I stood. I fought. for what? As long as we print money, I have a really hard time justifying the nation asking that of anyone. If you care about those who serve, start talking about debasement. Start asking how in the hell we just nodded along as those in power decided they couldn’t print money, debasing our very humanity. If we don’t talk, our representatives have no opportunity to listen. Given them the chance, and take note of their actions. Enough. The buck stops here.

50 year mortgage isn’t enough. Let’s stop pretending the monetary system couldn’t make the books work on a 5000 year mortgage. Let’s make housing affordable again!! They don’t, even though they could, because it’s so absurd it would make people question how the monetary system functions.

Your taxes do not fund the government. Taxes are like a prop steering wheel in a fully automated, self-driving car. Makes the experience feel familiar.
