What is up with these otherwise ok YouTube playlists that have a completely unrelated video injected in the middle? image This time it was a 1-hour video with some voice talking about cryptocurrency investing, but other time I've seen what seemed to be music from a completely different genre, maybe other times it was like an ad, I don't remember. I can't believe someone is trying to scam listeners of this obscure band in such a nonsense way.

I'm sorry to all people who send me NIP-34 patches (for example, @rafael_xmr). I basically never look at them. It's hard to keep track of all of these things while also maintaining my own implementation that reads them, which means that in order to fix one bug I'm forced to fix multiple bugs or think about how bad it is to use 'nak git' still. @DanConwayDev @reya @dluvian will we ever get a "merge" button that applies the patch and pushes the updated repository directly to our grasp servers?

@verbiricha why does "req -p $ME -k 1 -k 1111 -k 1244" in @grimoire connect to wss://relay.primal.net if that is not in my inbox list?

The fact that people like the fake Gaza guy bot or some others I won't name are still showing up basically everywhere is proof that no lesson was learned from all these years of spam, claims that "WoT fixes this", excessive muting and that any basement kid that wanted to actually break the Nostr experience for everybody would be able to do it easily. But I still have hope the tide will turn. View quoted note →

Internet search is getting very bad. This is not even the classic comment about how Google Search has become worse. I think it's just that the internet is much bigger now and the "global view" paradigm is not helping. One issue I'm hitting all the time now: I know a thing exists, I know its name, but search engines can't find it because there are way too many things with that same name showing up first. Sometimes it's not a lot of things, it's just one thing, but that thing has hundreds of webpages, videos, news articles associated with it and they all show up first. Maybe they don't even show up first, maybe they're not even more popular (ignore the fact that popularity being a criteria is already fundamentally broken) than the thing I searched for, but just by their massive number they come mixed with the results I actually care about and still clutter everything. Giving more context in the search doesn't work as it gets ignored always, and maybe this is the part that could be improved. By the way: AI isn't fixing it because AI still relies on classic search engines.

The Nostrord NIP-29 group View article → has been taken over by Brazilians who are now freely talking in Portuguese about unrelated nonsense topics.

So I just learned that most of the AI spam bot replyguys we see often are featured in At the same time genuine new people like @Link-NM are ignored by default clients' WoT filters and even when they break into they still fail to get any reach whatsoever anyway. What does that mean?
