No one has answered the second question in this note, but still I've learned a lot from the answers. Thank you. The main lesson, which I should have known if I had paid attention to the world, is that most people don't want to talk in a "public square" or about abstract topics to strangers on the internet. This leaves us with a clear path to adoption, which is also not a new discovery, but still worth repeating: small communities. The original vision of Nostr wasn't really this one, and it's not that exciting as becoming the public square of the internet, and most people will still not be interested in small Nostr communities at first, no matter how great they are, but still I think it's still one approach very underexplored. The good news is that Nostr is well positioned to deliver on it. Much more than any other Twitter clone out there, by the way, because we have relays with arbitrary rules and we don't worship an idealized fully flat global state paradigm. View quoted note →

Why haven't you invited your friends and family to Nostr? I'm not saying you should do that at all, just curious about the reasons. Especially if you think there is possibly anything that we could do in order for you to do that.

@verbiricha one thing that I think would be better on @npub1eras...skz0 is that I use the /run endpoint to share a thing, people open that and they only see that page. It doesn't connect to the rest of their Grimoire experience. It could be a nice starting point. You click on a Grimoire link here and there, soon you have a dashboard with all those links.

OK, now it's been 3 days since I'm getting random emails from supposed AI companies acting as if I'm someone called "Blake J." that they're trying to hire, or perhaps just have a coffee somewhere in Australia during some AI conference. Not even the scams make sense to me anymore. So they're making fake websites (that look pretty good, actually, not even like the generic AI slop we find sometimes in the websites of real companies) for fake companies and sending nonsense emails to people hoping they will do what?

What is up with these otherwise ok YouTube playlists that have a completely unrelated video injected in the middle? image This time it was a 1-hour video with some voice talking about cryptocurrency investing, but other time I've seen what seemed to be music from a completely different genre, maybe other times it was like an ad, I don't remember. I can't believe someone is trying to scam listeners of this obscure band in such a nonsense way.
