A very successful night of stability testing the NerdQaxe+ bitcoin miner. Up from a stock 2.5Th to 4.5Th. As seen on the pool log attached.
Unfortunately Its not always good news in the BTC R&D cave I'm afraid. This mornings job was to address a temperature concern, 1 asic (no1) was 15c above the rest.
Im afraid in the process of today's FAFO to get a better thermal mount of the PCB with asic chips.. it resulted in a poor mounting between the asics using indium heat springs and the heatsink.
The Result was 2 ASIC fried!
I saw a 200C reading on one...
I was expecting some shit like this to happen with what I am trying to develop for the overclocking Bitcoin mining community. Unlocking firmware comes with great risks when your task is to remove limits and un leash the hardware's true potential.
The next firmware release and Overclocking Dev work will be parked for the time being as this was my only NerdQaxe miner.

My 11y old son asked me today if I can "make" the local convenience store accept BTC/LN so he can spend his SATs ( he gets most of his pocket money in SATs.)
The shop is in-between home and school and they pop in after school for some sweets/ snacks/ drinks!
This is the best Project Brief ever give to me but also the most daunting for me. I can build tools for BTC but how to I even start to try and convince a local business to accept BTC/LN
Calling on all reinforcements for this one ! All tips are welcome
Ho Ho Ho
Deploying some extra BTC HashHeat Today into the conservatory ...
Hosting the Wise Elders ... might as well print some extra SATs in the process.

Sunday night FAFO on some ideas to help secure the offspring's future holdings.

Only select few will understand where it all started for me

BTC question... does anyone have any idea or an example of :
what data a BTC node sends to the network when a block is found ?
I want to test and see if i can setup the BitSatRelay to route any node traffic to the BTC network. I can download my database/blocks/node sync via @Blockstream satellite download service and i can relay data out from my @BitSatRelay .. as i cant have a "open" outgoing connection being in "off grid mode" I need to send a burst of data out as and when node says block found - on order to propagate it. ( ok wishful thinking to find a block but none the less i want to built the tech to exist as my fall back SHTF) Any tips or insight is welcome
