yet another day of work done and notes taken: my response to worries about people hoarding hard money: i've never had more business ideas than i have now. as the price of bitcoin goes up, instead of being incentivized to hoard, i actually feel a desire to start real world stuff. for example, i just discovered the bird that looks at me from a branch in the morning is an emerald Toucan. so i live in an emerald Toucan reserve. Instead of cutting down trees and building more housing to earn more bitcoin, the value of this land just skyrocketed to me personally. I love the luxury of drinking coffee and looking eye-to-eye with an emerald green toucan, and I'm willing to part with Bitcoin to do so. bonus if you can find the toucan in my early morning photo

so there is a reverse psyop going around about a cyber pandemic in which electricity shuts off and flights and so on. I'm pretty sure this is just to scare people into cash and coins. maybe that's why there's such a liquidity crunch as everyone hoards their cash. But even the $1 coins are actually worth the metal they are printed on i did have a happy dream in which gold and bitcoin lived side by side. you could have gold or bitcoin or both. since i'm not hoarding gold coins in a cabin, i need to imprint myself on people's memories by making sure they remember i was nice to them in the good times so maybe they'll keep me around in the famine times. "i promise i'll pay you in bitcoin when the electricity turns back on" might start ringing a little hollow after a couple days. but paper cash also just seems so silly to hoard up.
