what i find when i stop looking at twitter for long stretches of time is that i supplement scroll intake with Google News--which is more random and has nicer pictures. -- TIL in google news that the Subaru boxer engine goes 300,000 miles but the CVT fails after 120,000 Cathie Wood is investing 30% of her porftolio in just 5 AI names. Which AI names? Tesla, SpaceX, Google, AMD, Amazon The NASA Mars rover discovered a mysterious honeycomb pattern on Mars. --- And as if on queue, TechLead drops a video about "doomscrolling". I'm assuming "doomscrolling" nowadays refers to any scrolling. You know the feeling, you could be standing, walking, and you pick the phone up. You can feel your neck curling as your face drops forward down into your phone screen and you start scrolling thru youtube suggestions, posts, conversations, trying to find the right one for right now. if I made a personal Nostr client, it would make a non-scrollable page to eliminate "doomscrolling'. it would have news boxes that would open each thread of conversation. once the threads were complete, the boxes would not renew with convos until the next defined time period. Actually, Coracle already kinda looks like this. The boxes that have to be opened to "view thread" or "view parent" is a little bit of resistance. When I click "view thread" i'm falling into the thing that got my attention. when I click the X or click out of it, i'm exiting. it gives a finality to the feeling. A "Stop" sign on the doomscroll roll.

So my "sleep-on-it-thoughts" about Saylor/Strategy and Bip110 are that it's exactly what it needs to be. the Strategy vision is still the same: get Bitcoin into the S&P500 while bridging other types of investment into bitcoin through his preferred products. The best outcome is for Saylor to publicly oppose Bip110, and be forced to accept the outcome anyway. It shows that bitcoin is bigger than he is. 4-D chess.
