I’ve been leaving these with the owners at merchants that I know are using the square POS terminal. One was especially well received by the child of the owner who is working in the shop and stands to inherit the business. This felt like the biggest individual point of impact. image

Mental hashrate was high with partners at @Bitcoin Park this week. Was great to see everyone at the @Bitcoin Park Forum event we were able to attend with community leaders, founders, executives and capital partners. Many from the Bitcoin space. Many brand new, here to learn. A terrific feature of membership, the engagement of the Park in the community and their outreach.

Are your goals big enough? My daughter said she wasn’t motivated. If her goals were bigger, and more real, the goals would have her focus instead of her focus having to be on summoning motivation. Worrying about your motivation is like putting your whole focus on whether you’re inclined to get out of the car when you’ve driven to the store to pick up an item for dinner. If you get stuck there, you have a bigger problem to deal with in your mind. Otherwise, you just get out of the car after you put it in park because you have the objective of picking up the item from the store. You aren’t worried about summoning the will to emerge from the car, since the focus is on the goal. No motivation? Get goals. No context in which to have goals? Change your context. If our life isn’t working out we have two options: 1) Change our perspective, and if that doesn’t work 2) change our environment. Those are the conscious things we can do to make the unconscious things easier to line up for smooth living. Happy Thanksgiving.

Your life is not years living, it’s years lucid.

With Super Young Kids Learning To Ride A Bike (My son was 4yrs old and this worked like magic) —— - Buy one from a decent bike shop to make this process easy on you if you aren’t confident on a wrench. - Make sure the seat will drop down low for him to confidently touch the ground. - Get one with a hand brake. - No training wheels (they cause the wrong reactions to the physics) - Have the shop tech remove the drive train. They can pull the pedals, cranks, front chain ring and chain. Everything is removed from the bottom bracket so there’s nothing to bash shins on. This makes it a push bike like a strider. But with a brake for bombing hills. They’ll put all of that stuff in a box for you and you take it home. A few weeks of this bike and your kid will be ready for the drive train again. They’ll know how to brake. They’ll naturally know how to steer correctly. As soon as you see them going 40 or 50 feet without touching the ground, all while stopping comfortably with the brake, you can go back to the shop and have the parts in the box put back on. Easy peasy. No big hazardous crashes. No drama. They just learn it easily the right way and live a life of bicycles without unlearning the training wheel crap or having dramatic crashes while learning the basics. image
