On a mission to make western shirts in America.

The kind of hate I usually get on social media is stuff like this (not here on NOSTR btw). Always blows my mind. You’d think people would root for American made western wear. image

Thinking about adding some removable collar stays to our shirts. I was looking at all of my old and favorite vintage western shirts the other day, and was noticing how they all have collar stays (sewn into the collar). This was an idea I had when I first started years ago, and just kind of forgot about it. Until this week. Could be a cool detail, that pays homage to the originals, would add nice shape to the collar, and I don’t see other western shirts companies doing today. What do you think?

If you ever loose a snap, button, or tear your shirt from us (it’s rare but can happen), we will cover all costs, do whatever can to fix it, and ship it back to you for free. image

When my grandma past away a few years ago, my mom found this American flag in her closet. Idk the history behind it. It’s lightweight, feels like gauze or cotton voile, it’s stained, left / right edge is just overlocked. It feels cheap, but also so much nicer than the plastic ones you buy at Costco today. We hang it in our office for good luck. It probably doesn’t have special powers, but it might.

Seeing more and more western brands raise their prices on their western shirts (that are mfg overseas). And I love it. Giant brands, mass producing over decades in countries with low wages, have trained the market to think this is a cheap shirt. That it should cost $50-$90 retail. When it is not. It’s extremely difficult to make. Buck Mason’s pricing ($168-$198) is where a western shirt, made overseas, should start at in my opinion - and I’m glad they’re doing it 🥲

Arizona country band - The Kruse Brothers - just released their first full album, and we got the opportunity to fit them in some shirts on the cover. It turned out great. image

Our Desert Chore Coat - it’s taken me years, but finally found the right people and figured out how to make these at scale in Arizona, and the quality great, and only getting better.

Finalizing most of the shirts we’re going to make for fall / winter 2026. We have a 2-4 week window, starting next week, when most of the retail shops will place all of their PO’s for Q3+Q4 image

Rough sketch of some design updates I want to make this year. Still need to flush these out (I am not a good illustrator) but, this is step one. Previous years - so much time, energy, and resources went in to just getting the shirt actually made. This is the first year I feel we have that (mostly) down. Fingers crossed. But can now start to dial in more details. Which is exciting. They won’t happen all at once, but will roll out throughout the year. My goal is to have every part of the shirt, from the labels to the buttons, to additional details we want to add - have some meaning / story behind it. image

(Screen shot from tiktok) This is Brass Tacks Provisions. One of the retail stores that carries West Major (they’re in Oklahoma City). This gentlemen is wearing our new Desert Chore Coat. They’re the only store that carries it right now - and they only have two left. Doesn’t it look great? If anyone is in the area, go stop in! image
