A student at the school conducted a complex attack by detonating explosives inside the school's Mosque, before conducting a small arms attack on his fellow students at the school. 54x students were wounded in some manner during the attack, though most casualty figures are unclear at this time. Analyst Comment: This attack is interesting as it highlights a relatively new type of terror threat that has cropped up over the years, which is useful to have an understanding of. This type of attacker is now being described with rather niche terminology: Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE). This label (and a few other similar labels) have become a popular way to describe these types of attacks in the counterterrorism community, which have gone from nearly non-existent to comparatively common over the past few years. Caribbean: This afternoon the Pentagon announced another kinetic targeting strike in the region, so far the tenth strike during this campaign. Three individuals were killed during this engagement. -HomeFront- Washington D.C. - This morning the White House announced another stage in the cooling of the trade war with China, which involves both parties backing down from their hardline tariffs and export controls. China will halt some (not all) of the export controls on minerals the US needs, and the US will halt some of the retaliatory tariffs in exchange. Analyst Comment: This has happened before; the trade conflict between the US and China has ebbed and flowed since January. However, as both parties have mutual interest and aren't ready for a more kinetic conflict right now, both seem to be interested in striking a deal. Though, who comes on top of this arrangement will be a point for debate in due time. Maryland - This morning 7x people were hospitalized after opening a package filled with white powder at one of the National Guard facilities on Joint Base Andrews. The building where the discovery was made was evacuated, and several employees were briefly examined to determine if they were exposed to any chemical/biological agent. The base itself was also locked down for a short time while the situation was investigated. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Initial reports this morning suggested that political messages were also found in the package with the powder discovered at JB Andrews (as is extremely common), but no word yet on what any of those documents said. Regarding the medical situation, it is standard procedure for all parties involved with a suspicious package to immediately be hospitalized to determine if they have been exposed to anything. However, several news media outlets specifically stated that several people actually "fell ill" as the package was opened. All were released very quickly from the hospital, so whatever the substance was it wasn't a genuine threat. Since it is sometimes quite traumatic to experience a potential biological/chemical terror attack, it's very common for those in the room to have an emotional reaction that can be mistaken as some kind of reaction to a biological agent. In this case, everyone turned out to be fine, so this looks to be a hoax. Most of the time these incidents are indeed hoaxes, but it only takes one genuine threat for a major incident to occur. Better safe than sorry, and now that the domestic terrorism threats presented by thousands of ideologies and cultures are becoming more palpable, it's always a good idea to keep one's head on a swivel, especially when working or associating with a high-profile political target. Following a much-anticipated soccer match between a team from Tel Aviv and the local Aston Villa team in Birmingham, riots broke out overnight as rival gangs took their disputes to the street. Riot police were deployed to the stop the roving bands of "youths" from destroying property and generally causing disarray. Throughout the day today, the unrest has continued as long-held social tensions in Birmingham reached the boiling point. Over 700x police officers have been called up for duty tonight as the riots are planned to become much more significant with tonight's match against Tel Aviv. -HomeFront- Washington D.C. - This afternoon the White House announced a special press conference on the topic of pharmaceuticals. Most notably the press conference was called to announce a partnership with Novo Nordisk to lower the price of the Ozempic drug when purchased through the TrumpRX program. Analyst Comment: The press conference was abruptly cut short after Gordon Findlay, one of the senior executives of Novo Nordisk (the maker of Ozempic) collapsed in the Oval Office during the live broadcast. Dr. Oz, who was a part of the conference tried to render aid to him, and the rest of the press conference was delayed while Findlay received medical treatment. It's not certain why he dropped, but the White House stated that he was okay but feeling a bit lightheaded after the incident. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Once more, the misfortune of our friends across the pond gives Americans absolutely critical insight as to how things might go if a similar series of events were to pop off here in a major American city. For obvious reasons, a relatively nondescript soccer match is less about the sport and more about social and political issues, thus the unrest concerns. In short, it's a fairly kinetic and complex situation that serves in many ways as an indicator of the future to come. Birmingham has become a huge focal point for migrant housing, and these riots were not the work of the indigenous English. However, as with all soccer hooliganism, the rioting is almost never just one-sided. In this case, some (not all) Maccabi Tel Aviv fans were banned by British authorities from the Aston Villa stadium after starting a riot themselves, according to police. This resulted in two things happening simultaneously: the Islamic population of Birmingham rejoiced at this perceived geopolitical victory (and celebrated by breaking things and causing a ruckus), while many other Maccabi Tel Aviv fans lashed out in anger (again, also by breaking things and causing a ruckus). However, during the general state of unrest, rival gangs of mostly black and Islamic migrants (which had no interest in soccer) started fighting amongst themselves, adding in more diversity to the evening fray. Others still showed up to protest for more political purposes, but remained relatively calm throughout the evening. When the police arrived to restore order as this was getting underway last night (the day before the match), the more active elements of the crowds turned on them, targeting them with fireworks (which were probably used due to yesterday being Guy Fawkes Night). It is this unrest that continued from last night, throughout the day today, to tonight as well (the night of the match). So this is a two-day affair, not just a one-and-done scuffle, but a more prolonged period of unrest. In short, what's going on in Birmingham right now is more or less a state of mild pandemonium; everyone fighting everyone else, mostly for a handful of different reasons. All the while the legitimate football hooligans have become involved to show all parties how to get a proper British street fight going. As for the various police forces, efforts were mostly made to keep the different cultural groups apart from each other, but in typical fashion ended up treating some people with a heavy hand, while others were allowed to break things. Many other people did not riot, and instead just gathered for a sports match, but those who did riot, did so for different reasons. As a reminder, almost the exact same scenario played out in Amsterdam last year, which involved pro-Palestinian supporters clashing with Israeli fans mostly for geopolitical reasons, all kicked off by a football match. That situation was just as much of a mess, and now Birmingham is having to work through nearly the same exact series of challenges. The only side that's a clear and innocent victim are the local English citizens who want no part in all of the geopolitical issues that have been transplanted from the Middle East, into their own backyard. As such, this provides valuable operational data for future clashes that may occur in densely populated cities where cultural and political views often are so incompatible that violence is often the end result. There is variance in cultures even amongst the global West, and not everything that happens in England is a clear example of exactly how things will go down in other areas. However, most western nations are importing the same people from the same places, so we get a lot of the same problems much of the time. Brahim Kaddour-Cherif, an Algerian migrant, was released in south London allegedly by accident over a week ago, while he was serving a sentence for trespassing with intent to burglarize. Some sources also claim that the fugitive has a history of sexual offenses, and the Metropolitan Police claim that they were only notified of this mistake yesterday. France: This morning a vehicle ramming attack was carried out on Île d’Oléron, a small island tourist destination on the west coast of France. Many people were wounded after an attacker deliberately drove his vehicle into a crowd. 2x people remain in critical condition, and 9x others were wounded during the attack. The assailant has not yet been identified, however locals state that he was known to local police. -HomeFront- Kentucky: Overnight the casualty count regarding yesterday's plane crash rose to a total of 11x fatalities as several people remain missing. As of this morning, the fires are mostly out, and firefighters remained on the scene throughout much of the day. The main structures that the plane crashed in to on the ground were the Ford auto factory, as well as UPS's own logistics hub that serviced the airport. As a result, this major regional package sorting facility will be offline for some time. USA: Around the United States, the rollup of yesterday's election resulted in a near total victory for Democrat candidates across the board. Zohran Mamdani was elected Mayor of New York City by a wide margin, and Abigail Spanberger won the Governorship in Virginia. Also in Virginia, Ghasala Hashmi won the election for Lieutenant Governor, making her the first Muslim woman to hold the office in state history. Jay Jones also won his election for Attorney General, despite the scandal during his campaign surrounding his comments calling for the murder of his enemy's wife and children in a text exchange. Analyst Comment: Jones also quite literally tried to kick a dog at a polling place on election day, which although a unique campaign tactic, didn't seem to hurt his election chances either. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: In the United Kingdom, the most concerning detail of the second-migrant-release case is that this release took place on October 29th. Per their statements, the Met only found out about this release yesterday afternoon, almost a full week after the criminal was released. This situation was also made worse by comments made (or rather, not made) during the Prime Minister's Questions session in Parliament yesterday. Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy was hounded by a few MPs for refusing to answer the question of whether or not any more migrants had accidentally been released since the Kebatu case came to light. After his refusal to answer this question the first time, this ballooned into him being pressed again and again, resulting in him refusing to answer the simple question roughly half a dozen times. At that moment, it didn't make much sense as to why this level of resistance was offered up by Lammy, or why he became so belligerent at this specific question being asked. After all he could just say "not that I'm aware of" and move on, no big deal. Instead, he became quite belligerent to the point that this may have been the indicator for something else. Consequently, this morning the picture became more clear...at the exact moment that he was answering questions in Parliament, the story was about to break regarding the *second* mistakenly-released migrant. He has probably known about this release for a few days, thus the dodging of the question in Parliament yesterday. Interestingly, it is the specificity of this question that probably triggered the Met even acknowledging the release in the first place; going after the Deputy PM with such a specific question conveys the idea that the MP asking the question knows that there has been another prisoner release; asking this question at all reveals the jig is up. Nevertheless, in less than 12 hours, Lammy has pivoted to "outrage" at the prisoner release...completely ignoring that just yesterday afternoon he was insulting MPs for suggesting that this exact situation is what happened. In short, it's bad enough that a second migrant criminal was let out of prison allegedly by mistake, but the poorly-constructed coverup of the second scandal will probably send tensions throughout the Isles to new heights. Little details like this will be important to consider throughout the U.K., but also here in the United States as some parts of the country (such as New York) start to experience the woes that have become all to familiar throughout western civilization. CATASTROPHIC PLANE CRASH OCCURS AT LOUISVILLE AIRPORT.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -HomeFront- New York: Overnight and throughout the day, several explosive threats have emerged in New York City. Early this morning an explosive device was discovered in Manhattan, in the vicinity of West 13th Street and 6th Avenue. Public transit was halted for a few hours near the IED site, and the device was eventually rendered safe. No further information has been provided, but some reports suggest this was a false alarm. Otherwise, several bomb threats were called in to polling places around the city as the hotly-contested Mayoral election began this morning. Many different bomb threats were called in throughout New York and New Jersey, prompting the evacuation of polling places. Unrelated to the bomb threats, electronic voting machines went down in Cumberland County, New Jersey, which caused further complications on election day. Washington D.C. - This morning the White House addressed the recent court ruling on the SNAP program by stating that SNAP benefits will not be paid out until the government shutdown ends and funding is allocated for the program. Kentucky: This afternoon a catastrophic plane crash was reported at the Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville. A large shelter in place order was issued following the crash of a UPS aircraft shortly after takeoff. Analyst Comment: At the time of this report this is a developing situation, however this looks to be an extremely devastating crash. More details will come to light later on concerning casualties; right now the debris field is still on fire due to the aircraft being fully laden with fuel on takeoff. Initial reports from eyewitnesses on the ground indicate the port side engine was on fire as the aircraft was beginning to rotate, and by the time the aircraft had reached the end of the runway most of the left wing was engulfed in flame. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Overnight, a data breach of communications pertaining to the Huntingdon train stabbing attack was reported. An unnamed official in the Prime Minister's staff accidentally CC'd a journalist in an email chain that included emails containing unreleased details on the stabbing. In short, nothing particularly surprising was leaked. This error occurred due to the journalist having the same name as the person who the email was originally intended for, thus the mix-up. Perhaps the most interesting detail is that this leak highlights the stories that are being told even amongst government agencies. For instance, the non-public information that was leaked from the emails stated that the suspect (Anthony Williams) was not known to any authorities. This is interesting, because it points out that there is a bit of a communication foul up. The British Transport Police (BTP) had indeed identified Williams by name from his stabbing attack at the Pontoon Dock Station, and were actively looking for him in the day leading up to the train stabbing. At bare minimum this leak indicates that (at least in this case) no counterterrorism agencies were involved in the stabbing spree investigation that the BTP were actively pursuing at the time of the train attack. The attacker had gone on a stabbing spree for two full days prior to the train attack...three separate stabbing attacks occurred, but agencies were not talking to each other. Nor did any agency treat this stabbing spree as a series of connected attacks all perpetrated by the same person. This helps to explain the context of the leaked emails; the reason that Williams is "not known to police" is because counterterrorism agencies did not investigate his three prior stabbing attacks, nor did they manage to pick up on the connection between the stabbings, even though some British authorities knew his name. //The Wire//2300Z November 3, 2025// //ROUTINE// //BLUF: TWO-DAY KNIFE ATTACK SPREE CULMINATES IN MASS STABBING ON TRAIN IN UNITED KINGDOM, PASSENGERS AND CREW DO THEIR BEST TO HALT THE ATTACK. FEDERAL JUDGE ORDERS SNAP FUNDING TO MATERIALIZE. GOLDEN HINDU IDOL 15 STORIES TALL TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN RURAL NORTH CAROLINA.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- United Kingdom: On Saturday, a mass stabbing was carried out on a train bound for London from Doncaster. 10x people remain in critical condition as a result of the attack. The assailant has been identified as Anthony Williams. A separate individual who may have also been involved in some way was arrested at the scene. This individual has not been identified, but authorities have stated he is of Caribbean descent. Police also tased one man on the platform after the train arrived at the station, however this was a case of mistaken identity and the tased man was released without charge. -HomeFront- North Carolina: Local concern has emerged following plans to build a massive Hindu "temple" in the small town of Moncure, just west of Holly Springs. This extremely large and sprawling complex is planned to have a golden idol that will be roughly 155 feet tall...one foot taller than the Statue of Liberty. This project was announced earlier this year, but has gained notoriety as the construction plans move forward. Analyst Comment: Small towns in historically Christian rural areas are often targeted for the construction of golden idols due to the ease of bribing/influencing local officials to obtain permission to build commercial facilities. In this case, Moncure is an extremely small town that doesn't really engage in any zoning (they leave it to the county to decide), so it's easy to pencil-whip the re-zoning of private residential property to allow for the construction of a pagan idol that will dominate the terrain for dozens of miles. This idol is not even built yet, the area slated for it's construction is still just undeveloped land. However, (to the surprise of literally no one) it's already featured heavily in the Google search results for Moncure, NC as the top tourist destination for the town. Hindus have already spammed the reviews for the structure that doesn't exist yet, giving it top marks and praising the facility as great to visit...with the owners of the place celebrating the fake reviews of a non-existent facility, while simultaneously admitting that the facility doesn't exist yet. Washington D.C. - U.S. District Judge John J. McConnell Jr. has ordered the White House to ensure that emergency funds are used for the SNAP program, stating that "the USDA must distribute the contingency money timely, or as soon as possible, for the November 1 payments to be made". Analyst Comment: That brief description was more or less the entire order, which was oral in nature. However, a lot of other things have to click into place to make this order come to fruition, especially due to the complexities of the Judiciary ordering the Executive to do something that is technically the job of the Legislative. Despite the very obvious problem with this arrangement, the issue is now tied up in court, effectively stalling the distribution of at least some electronic deposits. However, some EBT recipients have reported getting their funds as they have before, so it's not clear as to what funds are being disbursed, or to whom. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: The train stabbing attack in the United Kingdom is one of the most significant attacks in recent British history. A Major Incident was declared and a PLATO response was initiated (which is the colloquialism for an active terror attack in progress). The details of the attack itself are not entirely clear, but at the moment the eyewitness statements indicate this one was ugly. A train car packed with people who cannot escape makes for an exceptionally vulnerable target for malign actors. Witnesses state that the attack took a long time to complete, and that the stabbings were carried out over a period of 15-20 minutes. This was made worse by the fact that this mass attack was 100% preventable. The attack onboard the train was actually the *fourth* stabbing attack conducted by Williams within a 24 hour period. Authorities have not confirmed anything; all of this investigative legwork is being conducted by private citizens as the British government has been silent on the matter. However eyewitness statements indicate that Williams was likely the same man who stabbed a 14-year-old in Peterborough the day before (October 31). That same day, Williams was observed brandishing a knife in a barber shop in Cambridgeshire. Williams is also suspected in stabbing a different man in East London on November 1st. In all prior cases, either the police did not investigate at all, or did not circulate his photo or issue a BOLO notice. This was quite literally a case of a madman with a knife stabbing anyone he liked over a period of two days, before the final culminating attack took place onboard the train. Concerning motive, this meets all definitions for being classified as a terror attack. However, British authorities have very adamantly stated that it isn't a terrorist attack. Trust is nearly nonexistent with British authorities at this point, but the story told by the Transit Police is that this was a private dispute between two criminals, which devolved into one of them attempting to stab the other. Due to the tight quarters of a packed train car, this resulted in everyone in the car becoming unwillingly involved. At the moment, this version of the story appears to be false for many reasons, first and foremost is the detail that Williams had already conducted three stabbing attacks prior to the one on the train. What started the incident inside the train car remains uncertain. However, once violence had been undertaken the assailant tried to kill everyone on the train, and a general state of bedlam erupted as passengers fled up and down the train to escape the attack. This is confirmed beyond all doubt, by the CCTV footage that was leaked, showing Williams pursuing passengers down the platform after arriving at Huntingdon Station. This is about as smoking-gun as it can get, and confirms that the attacker did indeed attempt to target citizens deliberately, as opposed to people just getting in the way of a private murder attempt. As a reminder, there are at least two security cameras at each end of every car on the London North Eastern Railway trains. So footage of the attack (and importantly, everything that led up to it) does exist. Since this footage probably won't be released, the most important witnesses to consider when trying to figure out what happened, are those who at present cannot speak...the individuals still undergoing intensive medical treatment are the people who were closest to the attack and their testimony carries much weight. At the moment, there have been no fatalities, but prayers are strongly encouraged for the survivors to ensure their rapid recovery. More broadly, this attack highlights the extreme need for citizens who are not just prepared physically, but also mentally. Train driver Andrew Johnson became aware of the attack, and instead of stopping the train on the tracks (where police and medical would take some time to arrive), Johnson diverted the train to a different track which would take the train into the next-closest station (which happened to be Huntingdon) where police would be waiting, radioing ahead to ensure that the attack on his train could be stopped as soon as possible. One railway crew member onboard the train (who has not yet been named due to being wounded) also displayed great courage by blocking the passage of the attacker, delaying his rampage down the train for a time, sustaining severe wounds in the process. Several passengers also carried out the time-honored tradition of using violence-of-action to take the fight to the attacker (all of whom were wounded during the attack). Stephen Creen was wounded while attempting to stop the attacker, along with several others who attempted to do the same even though everyone except for the attacker was unarmed. In short, details may be hard to discern, but currently it looks like most people did the right thing; those who could fight, did so. Those who couldn't, fled and attempted to warn other passengers down the train, as well as caring for the wounded. This attack proves once again that almost everything can be done correctly, and the fight still be a hard one. Attacks will continue, this is unfortunately a certainty. If not from deliberately planned terror attacks, then from random outbursts of violence. But, the first steps in the British re-conquering their kingdom will be to foster a culture of using extreme violence, to stop extreme violence. Not out of malice or hatred, but out of the desire to stop the harm to innocent people. For far too long the British government has portrayed sheer survival instinct as hatred, which is pure gaslighting that couldn't be further from the truth. Attacks like this, while horrific, do a lot to show the British people that stopping a mass murdering lunatic requires violence, and exercising this violence to protect the innocent is a good thing. As such, considering this rampage will be in the news cycle for a while, it will be absolutely crucial to applaud the actions of those who did what they could to stop the attack. Focusing on the horror of the day is easy but fruitless; it is a far, far better thing to focus on the good that was done, and try to improve the lessons-learned for the challenging times ahead. They might not have been as successful as one would hope, but some gave it a try anyway and did the best they could. Which is the most anyone can hope for, and what we all should strive to achieve. WHITE HOUSE PLANS TO INCREASE NUCLEAR TESTING FOLLOWING RUSSIA'S INTENSIFICATION OF SIMILAR EFFORTS.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Middle East: Overnight Israeli targeting in Lebanon continued with new strikes in the southern regions of the country. This comes after a few days of airstrikes and rising tensions in Lebanon. Analyst Comment: Details are sketchy on all sides, however a series of events have transpired over the past few days that have deteriorated relations. On Sunday, French troops stationed in Lebanon as part of the UN observation mission shot down an Israeli drone that was harassing their position. In response to that, a different drone approached the French position and dropped a grenade near them. An Israeli tank also fired a round that landed near the French observation post, continuing a long-standing tradition in the region (The IDF will frequently shoot near an international power that they don't like, they have hit a few observation posts with tank rounds before). Tanzania: A state of civil unrest is underway nationwide following the deterioration of protests over the past few days, most of which have been prompted by recent election woes. The incumbent President excluded his main political rivals from the ballot, which prompted protests and demonstrations. These efforts have now become more widespread, and around a dozen fatalities have been reported so far during the riots. Caribbean: Yesterday evening the Pentagon announced another strike in the region, which resulted in the sinking of one more narco-vessel in the Pacific. 4x KIA were reported as a result of the strike. -HomeFront- Washington D.C. - Much rhetoric has abounded following various developments in the field of nuclear weapons. Earlier this week, Russia publicly announced the successful test of their latest nuclear-powered, nuclear-capable torpedo system, which has been a class of weapons in development since the 1980's. This latest version, dubbed the "Poseidon" in the open source world, is the latest version to be publicly and successfully tested. This in turn produced much fanfare surrounding these tests, and President Trump has stated that the US intends to increase nuclear testing over the next few months; because other nations have increased their efforts, so will the United States. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Regarding this recent rhetoric, there appears to be a "lost in translation" factor to what has been said by world leaders so far. Russia, for instance, has not stated that they intend to carry out testing of actual atomic weapons themselves. The last time Russia conducted a test of the detonation of a nuclear warhead was in 1990. China similarly conducted an underground nuclear test a little more recently, back in 1996. Russia in particular also has a slightly different "nuclear triad" than the United States. The US has bombers, submarine launched missiles, and static missile silos, all of which form the main methods for the deployment of nuclear weapons (thus the three legs of the "triad"). Russia has a different, more diverse view of nuclear deterrence. They have bombers (same as us), submarine launched missiles (again, same as us), some static silos, a lot of mobile launchers to include some train-based options, and now entering more widespread operational use, nuclear torpedos to supplement their very substantial submarine force. While it may seem new to some, many of the main weapons systems that they have been working on for a long time are nuclear-powered torpedos, that also carry nuclear warheads. The United States does not use these platforms, so when politicians talk about them there's a good chance that there's going to be a bit of misunderstanding. In his address, Putin talked a lot about this "nuclear torpedo", using that term to describe the test. However, Putin was referring to the torpedo being nuclear *powered* during this test...Russia did not actually detonate a nuclear warhead, this was merely a *public* test of the torpedo featuring the developments Russia has made in miniaturizing the mini nuclear reactor powering the torpedo. The fact that the torpedo is also intended to carry a nuclear warhead as it's payload, also plays in to using the word "nuclear" in discussions of this device. There are also quite literal translation challenges; in the Russian language, it's very common for defense officials and military service members in Russia to use the word "nuclear" to describe the idea of just a "really big bomb" and not exclusively an atomic device that causes mass destruction due to the fission of radioactive materials. Usually more high-ranking officials are careful to avoid this challenge of the language barrier, but it must be mentioned anyway because of the media coverage of this growing situation, which often relies on using the word "nuclear" as many times as humanly possible in an article. All of this is important to understand in the context of President Trump's recent comments because there are many world-changing possibilities that could result from the slightest remark. Despite the cliche, words do indeed matter, and so far nobody is really sure what Trump actually meant. Because depending on what he was trying to say, very different courses of action might be on the menu. When President Trump stated that the US is going to do more "nuclear testing" because "other nations do it", this might demonstrate a lack of understanding of Russia's weapons. He may think that Russia detonated a nuclear device because none of the analysts preparing his briefing made the details of Russia's test abundantly clear. He would have been made aware of the Poseidon test in his daily intelligence briefing, but it's possible that he only remembered the word "nuclear" and not the bit about it being really just a test of the mini reactor. The fact that NATO probably doesn't call this torpedo the Poseidon (but likely a different secret name) doesn't help much either. These are the intricate, behind-the-scenes considerations for briefing the President on such topics. As such, this is the most likely scenario, and it wouldn't be the first time that such a misunderstanding has happened. While this is hinging on a lot of speculation, it's important to think about because of the alternative theory: The official White House position (reinforced by the White House, not just Trump's possibly erroneous comment) is that Russia and China have ramped up their nuclear testing, so we are going to do the same...the only problem is that neither actually have ramped up their nuclear testing. Both have intensified their testing of various missile systems (along with the US), but not detonation testing. So either this is a mistake/skewing of words, or Russia and China have been blowing up nukes in secret (a possibility which at the moment seems unlikely). Another more likely theory is that President Trump (and the subsequent statements from the White House) were just referring to a general increase in the scientific development of nuclear devices, but not specifically the detonation of a warhead. There are plenty of technologies the US can test besides just the regular ICBM launch, so it's possible that's what the US intends to do: More readiness testing, more communications exercises, and more rapid deployment drills (like the one conducted yesterday in Texas). No matter the case, the White House's position remains rather uncertain; it's not clear as to if he means actual detonations of nuclear warheads, or the test of a weapons platform intended to carry the warhead, such as missiles or some other similar delivery vehicle. Most pundits and think tanks have been scratching their heads over this one as well, though most of which are heavily involved in politics themselves so there's incentive to just oppose Trump for the sake of it. However just going by what Trump and the White House have stated so far, it certainly seems like Trump meant testing the detonation of nuclear warheads, and not just the platforms that carry them, which is a whole other ball game. So far, the scale of the disaster is not fully known in either nation, as it will take some time to understand where the hardest-hit areas are located. -HomeFront- Mississippi: This morning local authorities clarified the details of yesterday's escape of medical research monkeys; initial reports that one monkey remained at large were untrue. A re-count revealed that actually 3x monkeys remain at large in Jasper County. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: In the United Kingdom, the victim of yesterday's stabbing attack has been identified as Wayne Broadhurst, and a vigil was held in Uxbridge overnight. The two other victims have not been identified yet, however one was reportedly a 14-year-old and an older man who remains in critical condition. The suspect was also identified as Safi Dawood, from Afghanistan. This attack has once more inflamed already high tensions, and so far no high ranking official in government has even acknowledged that the brutal attack took place. The Migration Minister is so far the only one in government to acknowledge the attack, and he only did so to condemn any misinformation about the event (but notably not actually stating that any misinformation was occurring). In any case, ignoring the crime like this has dialed up anger to new heights, and the various "counter" movements gaining traction around the nation have been cause for concern as well. These "counter" movements have mostly spoken for themselves in terms of highlighting what's going on throughout British society. Concerning the Kebatu case from a few days ago, details continue to be released that make the situation worse. Kebatu was deported to Ethiopia immediately after his recapture, after which he recorded a video explaining what happened from his perspective. His testimony included the detail that he did become aware that he was wanted during his escapade throughout London, and that he tried to turn himself in to a uniformed police officer. According to Kebatu himself, the officer ignored him and drove off. Granted, this is the testimony of a rapist and illegal migrant, so the sourcing is not exactly the most reliable. These arson attacks took the form of unknown malign actors setting fire to the signaling equipment (and really anything that looked important) at several points along the tracks. These incidents ended up causing many delays as trains had to be re-routed to other lines to continue service. South America: Overnight, the War Department announced several more airstrikes in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Three kinetic strikes were carried out on a total of four vessels (one strike targeted two boats that were tied together to exchange bundles of drugs at sea). 14x KIA were reported in total as a result of these strikes, along with 1x survivor. -HomeFront- Massachusetts: Yesterday the DoJ announced the indictment of an Indian national who conducted a stabbing attack onboard a Lufthansa flight on Saturday. The DoJ states that Praneeth Kumar Usiripalli was arrested in Boston after the Germany-bound flight was diverted due to his attack. The press release states that one of the victims awoke to find Usiripalli standing over them, before trying to stab the victim to death. In the ensuing fray, at least one other passenger was stabbed. The assailant also attempted to stab several crew members while attempting to be subdued. Both victims are juveniles, and it's not clear as to why Usiripalli attempted to murder them during the flight. Mississippi: This afternoon a vehicle accident involving a research truck filled with biological specimens was reported on I-59 in Jasper County. This accident resulted in the inadvertent release of several Rhesus monkeys that were being used for medical research at Tulane University. Initial reports from the Sheriff's Department stated that these monkeys are infected with a variety of diseases, including COVID and Hepatitis. However, this afternoon a representative from the University stated that the monkeys were not infectious. Analyst Comment: Yes, this is a real thing that happened. The escape of medical research monkeys happens surprisingly often, usually without much fanfare. In this case, the initial information that these monkeys were carrying the plot of about 4 different apocalyptic movies caused the story to gain a lot of traction immediately. Most of the monkeys have been re-captured and/or killed, but at least one remains on the loose. As such, locals have been advised to keep a lookout. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: The attacks on French rail infrastructure are a very common attack vector that is carried out daily throughout the nation. Arson attacks on electrical infrastructure (or in this case, signaling boxes beside the tracks) are carried out with such frequency that the local media doesn't usually report on them unless it causes major disruptions. Usually, the culprits are officially "unidentified", but in the overwhelming majority of cases the attacks are mostly ANTIFA or other types of anarchist groups which seek to destroy things for a political goal or even just for the sake of it. There are usually never any arrests, but most of the time the attacks are eventually claimed by various splinter groups around France. In a growing number of cases, however, it's quite clear that the incident is a case of simple copper theft. Copper theft is a growing trend around Europe and western civilization at large, to include France. In this case, this probably isn't what happened as multiple incidents were reported at several sites simultaneously, which is rare for a copper theft. Copper thieves also don't normally intentionally set fires as burning everything makes it harder to extract the copper cables that are sought. VENEZUELA CONTINUES WARTIME PREPARATIONS.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- South America: Venezuelan forces continue to make plans for an American invasion by hardening infrastructure and deploying defenses as best they can. Over the weekend many Venezuelan citizens have posted their military's movements on social media, at least one of which included the location of a Venezuelan SA-17 GRIZZLY Surface-to-Air Missile Battalion. Analyst Comment: TikTok and social media in general are the death of OPSEC in any nation, and Venezuela is no exception. Even the Venezuelan military has no real concept of digital security, and even pointing out these OPSEC violations to them directly doesn't really seem to matter much. Otherwise, American presence patrols continue as before. Some Venezuelans were able to observe what they described as American vessels on the horizon, confirming the US Navy and US Marine Corps continue to conduct operations quite literally just outside Venezuela's territorial waters. Far East: Over the weekend two US Navy aircraft were lost at sea due to two separate aviation mishaps. One MH-60R Sea Hawk from the USS *Nimitz* was lost at sea while conducting routine operations in the South China Sea. All three crew members survived the crash, and were recovered from the water. About an hour later, one F/A-18F Super Hornet (also assigned to the *Nimitz*) also went down, with both crew members ejecting and being recovered from the water safely. Analyst Comment: Despite the seeming rarity of two downed aircraft occurring at nearly the same time, these things do indeed happen occasionally. Two aircraft going down due to mishaps within an hour of each other is not exactly a frequent occurrence, but it does happen, especially since the US Navy continues an extremely intense tempto of operations. An investigation will be conducted, to be certain, but at the moment these disasters point to the nature of these types of operations...it's a risky business. As such, it is a sheer miracle that all of those involved survived these incidents, and several investigations are likely to be carried out to determine the causation of these mishaps. Until more information is known, there's no telling what led to the loss of either aircraft. United Kingdom: Hadush Kebatu was recaptured after a day-long manhunt yesterday. He was able to evade capture for two days, despite not even trying to evade detection. Authorities claim that they are still investigating what allegedly went wrong in order for him to be released by mistake in the first place, but so far no details on this have been released to the public. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: So far, the development of the Kebatu case has been host to many concerning details which have inflamed tensions higher than they already are. For instance, he initially tried to return to the detention facility after his release, and remained in the vicinity of the facility for several hours. Eventually detention facility staff escorted him to the train station, and helped him escape. He was given a prepaid card with money, and generally spent the day walking around London on a light shopping spree, in one of the most heavily surveilled cities on Earth. Every few hours the Met released a new video of him milling around, but somehow managed to evade capture for the entire day, completely unaware that a nationwide manhunt was underway for him. BRITISH DIGITAL ID SCHEME TO TARGET CITIZENS FOR NONCOMPLIANCE. VEHICLE RAMMING ATTACK REPORTED AT COAST GUARD BASE IN CALIFORNIA. USA TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA TERMINATED AS CANADA LAUNCHES PROPAGANDA AD CAMPAIGN.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- United Kingdom: In an interview regarding the Digital ID scheme, PM Starmer revealed that the penalty for not getting and using a Digital ID will be a fee of £85 for every instance of financial transaction that would ordinarily require an ID under this new plan. This afternoon, a separate situation developed as a major police operation was declared in Essex after the Epping Hotel attacker was allegedly mistakenly released from prison. Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu was released by police this morning, rather than being deported. Currently a manhunt is underway, and local citizens are urged to be on the lookout for the violent criminal. Local police have not provided a description of Kebatu other than his mugshot, however a local citizen posted a video on social media after they spotted a man matching his description carrying his belongings in a clear trash bag. This footage was taken before the wanted notice went out, and the grey sweat/tracksuit he was wearing matches the description that court reporters visually saw him wearing earlier that day in court. Geolocation of this video evidence places Kebatu's last known location outside a cafe at Number 84 on the High Street in Chelmsford. The video cuts off before Kebatu's destination could be confirmed, but his last known azimuth places him traveling North up High Street, toward the bus station. Analyst Comment: Kebatu is an Ethiopian national who assaulted a child and a woman in Epping back in July, prompting the now-infamous Epping Riots. He had only been detained for roughly a month, and was supposed to be deported as a way of the British government showing that they do indeed deport violent criminals. However this shining example of good faith has been dashed, and the already dismal public sentiment on the issue is about to get a lot worse. To put it lightly, it is in Mr. Kebatu's very best interest for the *police* to find him as soon as possible. On the one hand, it is true that the British government let a violent criminal out of jail. But on the other hand that also means that he is no longer under police protection, he has no documentation, doesn't speak English, and no one knows where he is. Anyway, a few protests and demonstrations are well underway in Epping, and time is of the essence to find him, before the trail goes cold. Canada: The United States has suspended trade negotiations with Canada due to the discovery of a propaganda campaign targeting Americans. The government of Ontario ran a $75 million ad campaign featuring a speech by Ronald Reagan, in which he spoke negatively about the idea of tariffs. This speech, however, was a fabrication using clips and words selectively cut from Reagan's 1987 address in order to make it look like Reagan was not in favor of tariffs...when the actual uncut speech was actually in favor of tariffs. Analyst Comment: There's a saying in the world of psyops...a deception campaign can never fail. Even if discovered, the deception effort will cause doubt as to what's real, so there will always be some level of effectiveness. In this case, Canadian officials thought they were being cute by playing fast and loose, but this was not simply a harmless meme or something obviously fake. The content that was produced was fully intended to take the place of true information, and when carried out by a nationstate to manipulate the internal sentiment of a foreign nation, this a very serious charge. The sheer scale of this propaganda campaign is also significant...this wasn't just some local TV ad, it was a multi-million-dollar national ad campaign. As such, this one act has severely damaged relations with the United States, so Canada is going to have to make a gargantuan move of good faith in the international arena to get back to a baseline from which to negotiate. As of this afternoon, PM Carney spoke to the Premier of Ontario, which agreed to pause the ad campaign, but the damage has already been done. -HomeFront- USA: Several vehicle ramming attacks on federal authorities have been reported over the past few days. In California, an unidentified individual attempted to ram a US Coast Guard checkpoint at the base in Alameda. Base security opened fire on the vehicle (which was a U-Haul truck), causing a brief small arms engagement. After being hit with many rounds, the driver of the vehicle was able to drive away from the base, and the vehicle was later found abandoned on an adjacent street. The driver of the vehicle remained at large for some time, but was later arrested with a gunshot wound to their abdomen. Two other rioters were wounded during the engagement, but are expected to survive. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Regarding the attempted vehicle ramming attack in California, some may be confused as to why this individual used their vehicle in the manner that they did, as in, why did they try to ram a vehicle checkpoint by reversing into it? Right now, all we have is speculation, but there are a few doctrinal reasons that might help explain why this seemingly unique situation developed. Firstly, this is a common attack vector, especially among ANTIFA militants. Plausible deniability is the name of the game with many ANTIFA "Direct Action" attacks, and they are exceptionally good at it. In this case, standing before a judge, the driver can say "your honor, I was just backing up my vehicle to turn around and leave the area, and they started shooting at me". This manipulative and subversive line of thinking is the bedrock of most "black-bloc" ideologies and has worked out extremely well for them both in court, and among the mainstream media. Secondly, there is a practical element to this as well...it's harder to shoot and kill the driver if the vehicle is attacking in reverse. The driver can't be seen easily, and as proven by this engagement, security forces can mag-dump into the vehicle all they want, and the rear of the vehicle will provide some level of protection. Particularly if there is something solid in the cargo space in the back. ISIS militants in Syria, for example, also learned that vehicles attacking in reverse, while slow and hard to drive, also offered greater protection for the engine block, so that a vehicle could get closer to a checkpoint before being stopped. Similarly, practice runs for future VBIED attacks are commonly carried out in this manner by any number of insurgent groups. In this case, there's no telling what the driver was trying to do. This facility had been targeted all day long by ANTIFA militants, who had attempted to lay siege to the bridge leading to this island complex. ANTIFA intelligence networks had identified ICE personnel using the Coast Guard base as a staging area for operations in San Francisco, thus prompting the initial confrontation that eventually resulted in the ramming attack and shooting. However, at the time of the attack, most of the demonstrators/rioters had departed the area, proving once again that it's not over until it's over, and that complacency while an event is winding down might be fatal. Thankfully in this case the situation remained a limited small arms engagement, and didn't escalate into a wider attack. Regardless of the information warfare and deception tactics being used here, what is unquestionable is that this attack (and the countless others like it) are a deliberate action. Not just a deliberate attack itself (or preparation for a future attack), but also efforts are intentionally carried out with the goal of manipulating the media coverage of an attack. This makes the truth hard to verify in the heat of the moment, and most dangerously, might cause hesitation or delay on the part of security forces when an attack is underway. Yesterday evening the Israeli Knesset voted to annex the West Bank, a move which has drawn slight criticism from the United States due to the war continuing to widen after the ceasefire was broken last week. SECSTATE Marco Rubio condemned this vote and VP Vance stated that Israel will not be allowed to annex the West Bank. Italy: A man was arrested on Tuesday after attempting to kidnap a child from a stroller near the train station in Bologna. Local authorities state that the man, who is an illegal immigrant from Gambia, approached a family on the sidewalk and attempted to grab their newborn child from their stroller. After local citizens fought back against him, he fled the scene before being arrested later in an adjacent park. The suspect has not been identified due to allegedly being a juvenile, but locals did state that he was an asylum seeker living at the local migrant housing complex near the attack site. -HomeFront- California: The driver of a semi truck who caused a fatal pileup on I-10 yesterday has been arrested. Jashanpreet Singh, an illegal immigrant from India, was arrested on multiple counts after the crash, including DUI. 3x people were killed during the crash, and 4x others wounded. Analyst Comment: Singh was illegally in the United States after walking over the southern border in 2022. One of the major issues with discerning the truth regarding events on the ground is the now-infamous Online Safety Act, which has been adopted by the European Union as the Digital Services Act (DSA) This is more or less the EU copying Starmer's homework and bringing the Online Safety Act to most of Europe. The DSA and the local regulations put into effect by the Irish government (most notably the chairman of the media commission Jeremy Godfrey) have resulted in a lot of the footage of protest activity being banned from being seen from Irish IP addresses. Users on X for example, have noted that their content is banned from view in Ireland, even content that is benign in nature but related to protest activity. This means that either the Irish government and/or the European Commission itself has ordered X to remove certain content by flagging it as "adult content" and thus subject to the Digital Services Act. In other words, exactly what everyone thought would happen, has happened. And not only happened once, but has been industrialized. Content which makes government agencies look bad, or otherwise highlights the crimes of violent migrants gets flagged as "adult content" and therefore is subject to censorship via the Online Safety Act and requires a photo ID (or a digital ID) to see. Right now, there are probably a lot of people in Ireland that have no understanding of the scale of protests and demonstrations (or even what the issue is all about) due to this censorship. This has been made worse by other larger issues that have actually made it into the mainstream press. Yesterday, the family of Josef Puska was sentenced for their various roles in the murder of Ashling Murphy. These sentences have inflamed tensions once more due to the nature of the crime itself, and the systemic coverup of the incident. While walking on a hiking path back in 2022, Ashling Murphy was brutally abused and murdered by Josef Puska, a member of the Roma community. During the investigation, it became known that his entire family helped him conceal the crime, and court documents reveal they did so due to this cultural tradition (or at least that was the defense offered up in court). The murderer's sisters-in-law helped him by burning his blood-soaked clothing after the murder, and routinely lied to police throughout the investigation. Yesterday, both of these women were sentenced to less than two years in prison, despite being accessory to the brutal murder. Other family members involved in "closing ranks" (as the judge put it) regarding the coverup of this case were similarly sentenced with a slap on the wrist. Once again, considering the crackdown on journalistic reporting concerning migrant crimes, it is crucial to understand that these are the details as they are conveyed by the BBC itself. Whenever the BBC is able to write an article like this, the situation is very serious indeed. Considering this case, and the cultural detail that the Roma community doesn't exactly have a great reputation at large throughout Europe historically, the timing of these judgements is rather poor. This has heaped gasoline on the fire already smoldering in Ireland...so the situation is a bit hot at the moment. This is also most important for understanding the crimes that are still being committed on a gargantuan scale. For instance, in Dublin yesterday...the same day as mass riots due to an immigrant snatching a child off the street....another migrant was caught by local citizens attempting to grab another child in the same exact manner, in the exact same city. In this case, thankfully local Irishmen stepped up and allowed a "situation" to develop that stopped the attack, but this provides some insight as to the scale of migrant crime in Europe...insight which Europeans themselves cannot even see most of the time due to outright government-mandated censorship. Analyst Comment: The situation was made worse by the fact that most media organizations have only focused on the riot itself, and not the kidnap and rape of a child that started the whole affair. Compounding issues further was the observation of another load of migrants being bussed in to the area under heavy police protection. South America: The War Department has announced another kinetic strike on a narco vessel, bringing the total count to 8x vessels sunk so far this campaign. This vessel was not sunk in the Caribbean, but rather in the Pacific Ocean in a vicinity that has not yet been disclosed. 2x individuals onboard the vessel were killed during the strike. Analyst Comment: Regarding the previous strike on the Narco Submarine, details have come to light regarding the survivors of that strike. One individual was Columbian and was repatriated to Columbia after being severely wounded during the strike. This individual (who has not been identified) suffered severe wounds and might not survive. The other individual was from Ecuador and has been identified as Andrés Fernando Tufiño. He was repatriated to Ecuador, and was promptly released without any charges being filed as the government of Ecuador states that he committed no crime. This is quite a bold statement considering he was fished out of the ocean after his narco submarine filled with cocaine was sunk by an AC-130J gunship, but nevertheless this points to the seriousness of the situation. Venezuela, despite being the face of this campaign...is certainly not the only belligerent in this conflict, which is rapidly escalating into a region-wide war. -HomeFront- Wyoming: This morning the State Capitol building was evacuated after a suspicious package was discovered. Eventually EOD personnel rendered the device safe, and the building remained closed for the rest of the day. It is not clear at the moment if this device was an explosive device, but the investigation continues. Analyst Comment: This incident, while not uncommon, does provide a learning opportunity for all. A staffer initially discovered the device wedged in the state seal near the entrance to the building. Rather than leaving the suspicious package in place and immediately contacting authorities (as is the recommended procedure for the discovery of potential IEDs), the staffer picked it up and brought it inside the building. After tampering with the device for a bit, someone at some point realized that it might be an Improvised Explosive Device, and security was alerted, prompting the evacuation. New Hampshire: State Supreme Court Justice Anna Barbara Hantz Marconi has returned to the bench after being indicted on seven counts pertaining to her attempting to use her position on the Supreme Court to influence her husband's criminal case. Analyst Comment: Her husband, Geno Marconi, was the head of New Hampshire's Port Authority when he was indicted on multiple counts of evidence tampering. This stemmed from an investigation into his misappropriation of state funds, as well as running an organized crime syndicate in which he used his position to grant preferential treatment for businesses which his family personally benefited from. As this investigation is still ongoing, many details are still secret. However, Justice Marconi herself was charged criminally due to her pressuring the Governor to drop the charges against her husband. As a result of this extortion attempt, she was charged on seven counts before she was given a sweetheart plea deal...a no-contest plea which resulted in a slap on the wrist (a minimum fine of $1,200 and zero jail time for her crimes). She not only has kept her position on the Supreme Court, but also returned to work on Monday after her fellow Justices on the bench voted unanimously to reinstate her license to practice law. California: Yesterday the San Bernadino County Sheriff announced the arrest of 12 members of the Singh family, who were allegedly engaging in cargo theft via their freight companies. This family was accepting shipping contracts to move freight cargo, but once the cargo was loaded on their trucks, they simply never delivered it to it's destination. Instead, cargo shipments were diverted to warehouses, where the goods were broken up and sold on the black market on an industrial scale. Analyst Comment: While this seems impressive, cargo theft has become increasingly common via freight companies themselves over the years. Stealing one TV is shoplifting, but stealing an entire semi truck full of TV's, and doing so under a legitimate company with a DOT number, and doing so over and over again because nobody cares to investigate...is something else entirely. The network is also a LOT larger than just a dozen people. Right now there are over 29,000 different trucking companies in the United States registered under the Singh name. North Carolina: Another would-be murderer has been granted bond following a weekend shooting in Charlotte. James Raeford was initially arrested after attempting to murder the occupant of a vehicle who he believed had parked too close to his vehicle. Raeford confessed to the attempted murder upon arrest, stating that he drew his firearm and attempted to kill the driver of that vehicle. In the ensuing small arms engagement, he ended up missing the driver and shooting the 3-year-old child in the passenger seat. Raeford initially had a secured bond set at $500,000 by Judge Keith Smith, an appointee to the bench by Roy Cooper. Judge Smith also set the conditions of his release to include the wearing of an ankle monitor. It is not clear as to if Raeford has posted this bond or not. The child wounded during the engagement remains hospitalized but is expected to survive. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: For context, over the past weekend, there were the same number of homicides in Charlotte as Chicago, despite Chicago having almost three times the population. The release of extremely violent and unrepentant criminals mere hours after they attempt to kill someone is a daily occurrence throughout Charlotte now, despite the recent bipartisan effort to allegedly stop this exact type of situation from occurring. The recent bipartisan hype surrounding the passing of Iryna's Law has meant absolutely nothing, and not a single judge has actually implemented harsher bail conditions for any criminal since the bill became law two weeks ago. This attempted murder proves that once again, in the exact same city, the release of violent criminals continues at breakneck pace. While it is important to remember the names of the judges who authorize the release of such violent criminals, it also must be noted that the state often just refuses to prosecute altogether. In Raeford's case, he's only being charged with assault and not attempted murder, even though he openly confessed to the latter. Japanese internal politics is often strange to observe from a western perspective, however this election does signal a desire to shift to the political right for the Japanese. Ireland: Authorities are allegedly investigating the assault of a child at a migrant center in Dublin. A 10-year-old girl was found on the grounds of the Citywest Hotel in Dublin after being assaulted by an African migrant. The migrant in question had an active deportation order since March, but had not been deported. Following the revelation of this story, locals protested outside this migrant facility this afternoon. These protests rapidly turned into a riot, and at least one police vehicle was set on fire outside the facility. -HomeFront- Georgia: Yesterday a man was arrested after threatening to conduct a small arms attack at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta. Billy Cagle was arrested after he livestreamed his attack plans on social media, before traveling to the airport to conduct the attack. His family members saw the livestream and notified law enforcement immediately, which led to his arrest in the South Terminal before he was able to conduct the attack. Analyst Comment: This appears to be more of a mental illness situation rather than the standard terror attack. Granted, bullets don't discriminate so in the heat of the moment this was still a very clear and present danger regardless. He was detained at the scene with a rifle in his vehicle, so his threats were probably not idle. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Regarding the situation in Ireland, anytime Irish authorities are this forthcoming with details involving migrant crime, the situation is very serious. This migrant center has been turned into permanent housing for migrants (to the tune of €148 million), and has been the source of scandal following months of locals being terrorized by the inhabitants of this hotel. This facility is also under the protection of the Gardai, as this housing center has been the target of protests by ethnic Irishmen. This has led many to question how a migrant was able to kidnap a child and drag her to the facility, which was being protected by private security guards as well as police. CEASEFIRE BROKEN IN MIDDLE EAST.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Global: This morning a large-scale outage of Amazon Web Services (AWS) was reported, which caused outages of millions of services and websites. The cause of the outage was not malign action, but rather improper management of network load balancing. Analyst Comment: A fix has been implemented, but it may take some time to restore services. France: Over the weekend a heist was reported at the Louvre as thieves broke in to the museum during broad daylight. The thieves posed as construction workers and used a truck mounted ladder in order to gain entry to a balcony housing the Gallery of Apollo. From there, they used cutting tools to breach a window which led to the exhibits displaying the historic crown jewels of France. The thieves broke into the glass cases housing several exhibits, making off with many major priceless pieces and artifacts. Analyst Comment: Despite their success, this heist was more or less an organized smash and grab which not even a big wooden door can protect from, it seems. In their haste to egress from their looting spree, the thieves left a wealth of evidence behind as the crown of Empress Eugénie was discovered cast into the gutter on the street after the raid. Middle East: The ceasefire between Hamas and Israel was breached as Israeli forces conducted widespread bombings throughout Gaza. Israeli forces claim that Hamas violated the ceasefire first, though President Trump stated that the violation (which appears at the moment to be a small arms attack which killed two IDF soldiers), did not originate from Hamas leadership. Nevertheless the United States endorsed the targeting efforts, which PM Netanyahu stated took the form of 153 tons of bombs being dropped throughout Gaza City. Analyst Comment: Most international actors are pretending that the ceasefire is still in place. Turning the ceasefire on and off like a spigot is likely to continue; whenever either side wants to conduct targeting the ceasefire will be "off" for the precise amount of time required to conduct the strikes, then the ceasefire will be "on" again once complete, while everyone pretends like nothing happened. -HomeFront- North Carolina: Two arson attacks on Churches were reported over the weekend. The Calvary's Cross Baptist Church and Tabernacle Baptist Church in Cleveland County were intentionally set on fire by arsonists. Local citizens who spotted the fires immediately were able to extinguish the fires quickly, saving both churches. The arsonists have not been apprehended and anyone with information is urged to call the Cleveland County Sheriff with any information that might be helpful in apprehending those responsible. Florida - Yesterday afternoon the US Secret Service discovered a hunting stand in a tree in a wooded area next to a US Army Reserve center directly adjacent to Palm Beach International Airport. The FBI is now investigating as the hunting stand had clear line of sight to the Customs and Border Patrol parking aprons, which are also frequently used by Air Force One to transport President Trump from Washington to Mar a Lago. Analyst Comment: For those who may think this was "just a hunting stand", there aren't a lot of whitetail on the parking aprons used by Customs and Border Patrol at Palm Beach International Airport. This stand was set up with a direct line of sight to this facility, in an extremely small wooded area right in the heart of a heavy urban area mere feet from a military installation. Right now there's not much to go on other than the discovery of the stand. However, it would be very foolish to just chalk this up to the ubiquitous "Florida Man" considering the clear and present danger that is presented by countless insurgent groups around the nation. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: The weekend No Kings protests turned out to largely be fairly low-intensity. However, at many of these events, turnout was quite substantial. Just like the other similar protests, most of the attendees were elderly. However, the sheer scale of the organization of these events was substantial. Protest Marshals coordinated flag and sign dispersal, and organized transportation for millions of people. This was no organic demonstration effort, this was certainly very well organized and coordinated by a strict hierarchy from the top down. As such, one might be tempted to dismiss these efforts...when this level of control and funding is required to prop up a civil issue it's hard to imagine much genuine sentiment behind it. This would be, however, a mistake. Just because a movement is not organic (and the people are paid or otherwise rewarded for participation), doesn't mean it isn't effective. These events are trial runs for the 2028 election season, and so far it's been fairly effective at rallying millions of people during a random weekend in October. WHITE HOUSE SOFTENS STANCE ON CHINA TRADE WAR.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Caribbean: The Pentagon announced the targeting of another vessel off the coast of Venezuela. The footage of the strike has not been released yet, however President Trump stated during a press conference this morning that the strike was not on a fastboat, but rather a semi-submersible craft transporting large amounts of narcotics. This strike is also the first to result in survivors; two individuals were rescued from the water by a US Navy helicopter after the vessel was sunk. Analyst Comment: The footage of this strike will be interesting to see, it if is ever released. One of the reasons that it hasn't been released yet is possibly due to OPSEC concerns...the Navy probably doesn't want narcotics traffickers to know what their submarines look like when viewed with American sensors. -HomeFront- Washington D.C. - Following last week's announcement of a 100% blanket tariff on China, President Trump made slightly contradictory statements yesterday regarding what the general plan is. In follow-on interviews, Trump stated that the tariff is "not sustainable, but that's what the number is", but also responded positively to China overall, stating that things were going well and the meeting with President Xi Jinping in South Korea will continue as planned previously. Louisiana: This afternoon the FBI announced the arrest of a Hamas fighter that allegedly took part in the October 7th attacks in Israel. Mahmoud Amin Ya’qub al-Muhtadi was arrested in Lafayette after having gained legal entry to the United States in 2024 (though he did lie about his alleged career as a fighter in Gaza in order to get a legal visa fraudulently). Analyst Comment: This marks the first major arrest by AG Bondi's Joint Task Force 10-7, which was stood up in February with the goal of investigating the Oct 7th attacks. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Of note, another round of "No Kings" protests have been scheduled for tomorrow, October 18th. So far, the event organizers appear to be re-using the same map from last time; most of the protests are carbon-copies of the events that were planned during the first round of protests. This strongly indicates that, like the first time, most of these protests won't happen and the online map is mostly meant to make the movement seem larger than it really is. Even so, while this series of events itself is probably a giant pile of nothing, there are many different social/political groups that are extremely upset right now, and groups in larger cities might use this weekend event as a catalyst for their own desires. ANTIFA will probably break things as usual, and many different senior retirement homes are likely to take part in the events like the first major No Kings protest day. Small arms attacks are likely, if nothing more than from uncoordinated security (such as the Salt Lake City shooting during the initial protests). Other concerns that could cause more kinetic situations lie in the world of social media and the lack of any cooling of tensions among far-left groups. In a podcast two days ago, former CNN anchor Don Lemon encouraged illegal immigrants to obtain firearms and violently resist ICE deportation operations. Brushing aside the minor detail that it is a felony for illegals to possess firearms due to being criminals, this does highlight the risks moving forward. Like it or not, people do indeed listen to influencers, on the political left and right. When an issue as vitriolic as illegal immigration comes on the scene, the potential is high for lone-wolf attacks to be carried out by some mentally ill individual who listened to the internet. The recent sniper attack on the ICE facility in Dallas is evidence of this, and the countless vehicle ramming attacks carried out by mentally unstable individuals points to the sheer number of people who are interested in carrying out further violence. Right now there are almost zero indicators that this risk will be reduced, and most people encouraging these attacks (as well as those carrying out the attacks themselves) have shown no interest whatsoever in toning things down. //The Wire//2300Z October 16, 2025// //ROUTINE// //BLUF: MULTIPLE IED ATTACKS STRIKE ECUADOR AS CONFLICT COMBATING ILLEGAL MINING INTENSIFIES. MIDDLE EAST PEACE DEAL ON UNCERTAIN GROUND AS TENSIONS CONTINUE RISING ON ALL SIDES. VENEZUELAN MILITARY SHIP REPORTEDLY BECOMES GROUNDED DURING TRAINING MISSION.//  -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Ecuador: The situation continues to deteriorate following a crackdown initiative targeting illegal mining operations. Many explosions have been reported over the past few days as mining groups affiliated with the Los Lobos cartel have taken to using their mining explosives in order to create IEDs targeting people and critical infrastructure. Two bridges were blown up yesterday in Guayaquil, and a Vehicle-Borne IED (VBIED) was detonated in the same city targeting the city mall. After this blast, another large IED was discovered in a vehicle somewhere in the city, which failed to explode. Analyst Comment: These IED attacks are the latest in a long series of woes in Ecuador. The situation sharply deteriorated back in 2023 with the assassination of Fernando Villavincencio, a Presidential candidate that was murdered just a few days before he was expected to win the election. This made a bad situation worse and Ecuador spiraled down into a defacto state of civil war, with belligerents mostly being aligned with the Los Choneros cartel and government forces. Over the past few months, prison riots, mass killings via gangs, and now IED blasts have become more common. The connection to why this matters to the US, is that back in 2018 one of the main power-players in Ecuador was the Tren de Aragua criminal syndicate. Venezuela: Yesterday a Venezuelan naval vessel ran aground off the coast while conducting a training mission. The ARV Capana (an amphibious landing ship) was observed by locals running aground on a sand bar, which resulted in her becoming stuck for a few hours. Middle East: The situation has remained both tense and chaotic as the return of captives' remains to Israel and various other developments continue to be a sticking point for lasting peace. Hamas officials have stated that there aren't any more remains that they can get to at the moment, which has caused tension. Analyst Comment: Major offensives remain tabled by both sides for now, however Hamas has conducted many mass-executions of alleged collaborators and/or spies, which has drawn the ire of President Trump who went as far as to threaten direct American intervention in Gaza (comments which he reversed-course on during a later press call). While that possibility is probably more of a knee-jerk threat than anything (after all, Hamas executing their own people for allegedly being spies doesn't really violate the peace agreement itself). Nevertheless, no one is out of the woods yet on this accord, and the situation can certainly flare back up into a big problem once again at the slightest provocation by any party. -HomeFront- Washington D.C. - This morning the White House announced that President Trump spoke with President Putin by phone, and that the conversation was very long and productive. Based on the description of the call as posted to President Trump's social media account, the call was positive and resulted in the scheduling of direct talks between the United States and Russia regarding the ending of the war in Ukraine. Analyst Comment: The implementation of higher-level direct talks with Russia is a positive sign, which has come about after weeks of decreasing relations regarding the war. The implementation of these talks also casts a bit of doubt on President Trump's previous statements regarding pushing Ukraine to conduct more offensives. Lately, there's been a lot of talk on the war by everyone involved, so it's anyone's guess as to whether or not all parties are interested in settling this war, but this will be a situation to monitor closely as talks continue. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: As one might expect, Venezuela has not acknowledged the Capana incident, nor are they likely to do so. Due to the nature of the information, at the moment all we have to go on is the standard shaky-cam footage provided by eyewitness observers, along with some aerial footage which does seem to show the vessel sitting lower in the water than she normally would. Considering that embarrassing incidents like this are often played up for effect by Venezuela's adversaries, the reports that the vessel has sunk are probably not true, at least not yet. Nevertheless, this does highlight the high-stakes nature of the fight, should war be the chosen course of action. As comedic as it sometimes is to see a nation flounder their opportunity to act tough, Venezuela is indeed preparing for war at a breakneck pace. Many coastal roads have been fortified to prepare for amphibious landings, and many border crossings are now impassable due to checkpoints. Clearly Venezuelan naval forces think they have a chance, and various army units have also been featured on local TV stations demonstrating their rapid-deployment capabilities. Most of Venezuela's uniformed armed service branches have been in a constant state of exercise since the American flotilla arrived off the coast, and even though war is still not an absolute certainty, Venezuela is certainly preparing for the worse case scenario. Despite the various statements of ceasefire by both sides, random skirmishes continue. Pakistan conducted airstrikes in Kabul once again, and Afghan forces conducted random skirmishes at a few border checkpoints along the Durand Line that designates the border between the two nations. Ireland: A mass stabbing was reported in the vicinity of Grattan Wood in Dublin. One individual was killed, and two others wounded during the attack. No further details have been provided at this time. Analyst Comment: Local media has reported that this attack took place at a "residence", which is misleading. The location of the attack was inside a care home that houses underage migrants. Caribbean: Yesterday the War Department announced the kinetic targeting of another fastboat off the coast of Venezuela, bringing the total to 5x vessels sunk so far during this campaign. United Kingdom: This afternoon, American Secretary of War Pete Hegseth made an unplanned emergency landing due to an incident involving his aircraft. The SECWAR was returning to the US from Belgium when a crack appeared in the windscreen of the aircraft, which possibly caused a depressurization incident. The pilots made an emergency descent to roughly 6,000 ft AGL, and proceeded to land safely without further incident. -HomeFront- Washington D.C. - DC Judge Kendra Briggs authorized the release of the two individuals who assaulted Edward Coristine, after sentencing them to probation. Both individuals (who have not been identified as they are allegedly juveniles) will face zero jail or juvenile detention time for their violent attack on Coristine, who was a high-ranking member of the DOGE team investigating government fraud during the initial months of President Trump's term. Coristine had intervened to stop a carjacking at a parking garage in DC, which resulted in a gang of roughly a dozen "juveniles" beating him, breaking his nose during the assault. The two individuals prosecuted in this case were the only two in the group that were caught. North Carolina: Following a series of attempted murders in Charlotte on Sunday, the individual who conducted the stabbing of two people has been released from jail. Paulette Gibson (who has an extensive criminal history) was released from jail on $20,000 bail, roughly 48 hours after nearly stabbing two people to death during a street fight. Analyst Comment: In the wake of the exceptionally brutal murder of Iryna Zarutska, North Carolina has passed legislation to stop the practice of cashless bail and overhaul the bail system so as to reduce the likelihood that violent offenders would be released. This was a hotly contested bill that required a veto-proof majority to pass (as the Governor threatened repeatedly to veto it). Eventually the bill was passed and became law on October 1st, but nevertheless, Gibson was released on bail anyway. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: This morning plane watchers noted the presence of several B-52 Stratofortress bombers conducting operations just north of Venezuela. So far the War Department has not commented on this development, and it's not clear as to if these transponder pings are genuine or the result of other platforms spoofing the identities of these aircraft. If genuine, this is undoubtedly a show of force. No operational deployment of B-52's would involve the pilots leaving their transponders turned on, so this was 100% intended to be picked up by the Venezuelans. A secondary goal of these flights could either be general training for future bombings in Venezuela, or an attempt to lull Venezuelan forces into a false sense of security. B-52's aren't exactly hard to see on even the ancient Early Warning radar sites that Venezuela has at their disposal (though it's assessed that probably half of these radar sites are not operational). Nevertheless, these flights, combined with the continual targeting of fastboats by sea, is adding to the steady increase in likelihood that a much wider war may be on the horizon.
