“Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.
Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding.
The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him.”

“A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold.
The rich and the poor meet together; the Lord is the Maker of them all.
The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.
The reward for humility and fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.
Thorns and snares are in the way of the crooked; whoever guards his soul will keep far from them. Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.
Whoever sows injustice will reap calamity, and the rod of his fury will fail.
Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.”

Let me introduce you to two of my children, Malina and Jackson. We nicknamed them Nini and Jack.
Anyway, according to perplexity.ai today (March 21, 2025) is World Down Syndrome Day. This global awareness day is observed annually on March 21st and has been officially recognized by the United Nations (ha!) since 2012. The date (21/3) was chosen to represent the triplication of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down syndrome. World Down Syndrome Day aims to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and advocate for the rights and well-being of people with Down syndrome. All that to say these two are precious in the sight of God and have a little something extra in that 21st chromosome. Pretty cool, the number 21. Hmm.🤔 have a blessed day nostr fam

“The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor and a snare of death.
The violence of the wicked will sweep them away, because they refuse to do what is just.
Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.
‘Scoffer’ is the name of the arrogant, haughty man who acts with arrogant pride.
The desire of the sluggard kills him, for his hands refuse to labor.
No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel can avail against the Lord. The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.”

“The sluggard does not plow in the autumn; he will seek at harvest and have nothing.
The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out. Many a man proclaims his own steadfast love, but a faithful man who can find?
The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him!
A king who sits on the throne of judgment winnows all evil with his eyes.
Who can say, ‘I have made my heart pure; I am clean from my sin’?”

“A fool’s lips walk into a fight, and his mouth invites a beating. A fool’s mouth is his ruin, and his lips are a snare to his soul. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.
A rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and like a high wall in his imagination. Before destruction a man’s heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.”

“Whoever covers an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates close friends. A rebuke goes deeper into a man of understanding than a hundred blows into a fool.
Whoever restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.”

“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.”

“Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; be assured, he will not go unpunished.
When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice.
Good sense is a fountain of life to him who has it, but the instruction of fools is folly. The heart of the wise makes his speech judicious and adds persuasiveness to his lips.
Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.”

“From the fruit of his mouth a man eats what is good, but the desire of the treacherous is for violence. Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.
By insolence comes nothing but strife, but with those who take advice is wisdom. Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.
Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.”

“An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.
An evil man is ensnared by the transgression of his lips, but the righteous escapes from trouble.
From the fruit of his mouth a man is satisfied with good, and the work of a man’s hand comes back to him. The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.
The vexation of a fool is known at once, but the prudent ignores an insult. Whoever speaks the truth gives honest evidence, but a false witness utters deceit. There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”

“A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight. When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom. The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.
A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself.
Be assured, an evil person will not go unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered. Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman without discretion.”

For whomever it is close to being Sunday. May beautiful flowers and new morning mercies flood over you this morning. ☀️🌸

Sometimes we can’t see the beauty that is just before us. It’s as if there is a veil over our eyes. And we. Can. Not. See.
Can you see beauty, even in the difficult situations? Kids, situations, circumstances, imbalance, destruction, pain? Does beauty change if we cannot see it? Or is it there even if we cannot see it?
Enjoy beauty and the beauty in others.

“I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion.
The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.
I have counsel and sound wisdom; I have insight; I have strength. By me kings reign, and rulers decree what is just; by me princes rule, and nobles, all who govern justly.
I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me. Riches and honor are with me, enduring wealth and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, even fine gold, and my yield than choice silver.
I walk in the way of righteousness, in the paths of justice, granting an inheritance to those who love me, and filling their treasuries.”
