We made it 200 miles…
Day 16:

Day 16:
We are planning on 222 miles today. Mostly downhill.
Day 16:
Today we will descend from 5000 ft elevation to 1000 ft. The town at the bottom of the descent is called White Water.
Once we hit the town, we start climbing again. The trail is reported to be washed out from town - 10 miles.

Day 16:
Good Morning. Today we continue onwards along the Pacific Crest Trail. 180 miles hiked so far.
Day 15:
Camp.

We made it back on trail and are 0.2 miles from tonight’s camp.
Day 15:
We are back on the trail. Weather has been a challenge, but we came here to hike the PCT, onwards.

My first snowman. Can’t wait to get back on the trail.

Snow Day.
Hopefully back on the trail tomorrow morning.
Day 13:
In town waiting out a storm coming in this weekend. We will get back on the trail Sunday morning.
Day 12:
I probably should have kept a journal or something, I tried, but it’s hard.

So far, two thoughts:
“Take time for yourself, we all work hard. It’s nice to spend time simply enjoying life.”
“Let’s keep the family group chat open even when I return home. It has been so nice talking with everyone so much.”

Despite bad weather coming in over the weekend, we are going to get back on the trail tomorrow.
We will hike until the weather gets bad and then set up a camp.

Showered and off to eat. 170 miles in 10 days.
This will be home for the next 2 days.

Grant at the summit
Waiting on a few others to get up and then we head down into idylwild.
Day 11:
Camp at 7500 feet, difficult climb with significant ice and snow.
Will not be able to summit San Jacinto.
Day 11:
My legs are getting stronger and I got a good night’s sleep. Overall, I am feeling good.

I am going into a town called Idylwild today. This is one of the nicest towns on the trail.
