Thursday and Friday hit me hard. I was angry, disappointed, and honestly as upset as anyone would have been. But something shifted for me at church yesterday evening. I cannot fully explain it, but I stopped fighting what had already happened and came to a place of acceptance. I kept thinking about money and how, at the end of the day, it is only a tool. We are responsible for taking care of what has been placed in our hands, but none of it is truly ours forever. Everything we have is a gift, and anything in this world can disappear faster than we expect. That does not make the loss or the hardship meaningless. I am beginning to see that difficult moments can still shape us, especially when we stop letting them harden us. There can be purpose in suffering, even when we cannot see it clearly in the moment. I am also reminded that God can use imperfect people to teach us. None of us gets everything right. We are all capable of making mistakes, disappointing one another, and causing harm, sometimes without fully understanding the weight of what we have done. For me, the real challenge now is forgiveness. I believe true power is being able to forgive without pretending that nothing happened. True freedom is not simply doing whatever we want or holding onto our anger because we feel justified. It is facing the truth, letting go of what is consuming us, and still choosing love, service, and grace. I am not saying I have completely worked through it. I just know I do not want anger to have the final word.
