I foolishly left this artichoke too long and didn't harvest it so it flowered. Turns out it is beautiful, purple and looks like a giant thistle!

Very excited to share the three new peachicks which hatched today ! All three eggs hatched the day after we got back from holidays which was very thoughtful of them. Percy has quietened down now mating season has ended and we are looking forward to watching these three babies grow and thrive on the homestead. Check out this beautiful, fluffy baby Kookaburra!!! Have really enjoyed their breeding season over the past couple of months as they have been doing lots of early morning calling and territory patrols. So grateful for our amazing home where the Kookaburras really do "sing in the old gum tree"... I used to sing this song to my baby girls all the time, so it is extra special to live on a property and this to be our everyday reality. I am absolutely living my dream 🧡

Not much flowering for us this season but these pretty pink hydrangeas have brightened my day. Lately I have been feeling the bearish sentiment radiating from those around me online and in person and I've even caught myself asking questions like "what if I'm wrong?" and then I remember "21 million" which is less than 1 per person for the entire population of Australia, let alone the world and I go and buy more sats. No one fully comprehends the scarcity, it has never been seen before.
