On Tuesday we'll take a look at Preimage Piracy 🏴☠️
If you want to get a more practical understanding of it, I created a small exercise, leveraging Polar.
The idea of the Polar exercises is to play with a local, fake Lightning Network, and write small scripts to control nodes in this network.
Ideally, if you intend to try it, do so before the live next Tuesday 😉
Going live in ~21 blocks ⚡
Today's program:
- LND's "new" sweeper, building on Matt Morehouse's recent article
- Ark on signet
- Peer Storage & Versioned Storage Service (VSS)
We'll also introduce 2 tools that we'd like to start playing with in the Lab: LNbits and Polar.
See you there!
Going live in 2 hours to discuss Lightning news ⚡
@Voltage x Fidelity report
@LifPay suspending operations
LND/LiT rumors & releases
New mutual close protocol
Ephemeral anchors
& more!

Senate in France is considering extending the provisions of "presumption of money laundering" to users of crypto mixers. Users would be deemed guilty unless they can prove otherwise (e.g. by providing the origin of funds).
What would you say were the most instrumental developments in Lightning last year? I'm talking protocol updates, implementations, wallets, tools, services, research, etc.
Re. Ledger co-founder's kidnapping and maiming, part of the French anti-Bitcoin rearguard is already professing that the real issue is self-custody and the lack of intermediaries.
