“Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.” #PalmSunday #ChristIsKing #GrowNostr image
Most churches are bursting at the seams on Christmas and Easter. Filled with people we haven’t seen 4-8 months, many we’ve never seen before and won’t see again. Something about these two Holy Days that draws a crowd. We’ve come to affectionately call such people the “Chreasters”. I encourage you not to be a “Chreaster”. Today is Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week, followed by Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, The Great Vigil, and Easter Sunday. Try attending all services this week and be drawn into the weight of your sin and the utter relief of grace on Easter Sunday. #Biblestr #ChristIsKing #GrowNostr image
Finally got around to repasting this Bitaxe. Kept overheating. Runner like a champ again. C’mon block! #PlebMining #HomeMining #GrowNostr image
What did your pastor preach on this morning? I preached on John 11, Lazarus and tied in Ezekiel’s dry bones and Psalm 130. #ChristIsKing #Biblestr #GrowNostr

If you’re ever in #Asheville, NC, you must try Cúrate, a Spanish tapas restaurant. A favorite of ours for more than a decade. You don’t just thank God for food, and I’m not minimizing that, you praise God for the experience…a real blessing. You will need reservations weeks in advance. My photos don’t do it justice. #Foodstr #GrowNostr

GM Nostriches, Let us remember to start the day by orienting toward Jesus. He’s easy to forget if we jump right in to the to-do list. A lukewarm nod is not enough and its fruit unhealthy. #Biblestr #Christianity #Jesus image

👋 Gm Evening, Nostriches! #introductions New npub, same MountainVicar — fresh start on Primal. If we’ve crossed paths before, come find me again. I’m Charlie: Anglican priest in the North Georgia Mountains. Older Gen X — old enough to remember when both the church and the dollar meant something. Husband, father, lover of freedom, gardens, and dogs. In that order, mostly. Later-in-life tech student: running a Start9 node and two S21s. The hash rate calls; the pulpit calls louder. I preach through the lectionary — the cycle of Scripture readings that has shaped Christian worship for centuries. I hold to the ancient faith of the Apostles and the creeds — rooted in Scripture and passed down faithfully. Sermons as Reads here every Sunday and on mountainvicar.com. Why Nostr? Why Bitcoin? God made us in His image (Genesis 1:26–27) — the image of the One who spoke creation into being. Speech is a divine gift: we are designed to seek, receive, and proclaim truth, reflecting the One who is Truth itself. To silence a person is to suppress something sacred. Honest money is a moral issue too. Fiat is designed to be debased — inflated, manipulated, and controlled by the powerful at the expense of the weak. Turns out the money changers never really left the temple. Scripture calls unjust measures an abomination (Proverbs 11:1). Bitcoin is the opposite: fixed, transparent, and decentralized. Just weights and measures, encoded in math. The powers of this age are never neutral. The Church has known this forever. We’ve had some practice with empires. Nostr and Bitcoin offer infrastructure for truth without permission — aligning deeply with living under God rather than corrupted man, and with the freedom we are called to stand firm in. If you’ve read this far, we likely share something: sats and sermons, a love of freedom, a soft spot for gardens and dogs, solid memes, or just fatigue with the noise and a pull toward bigger questions. The Ancient Faith has been speaking into moments like this one for two thousand years. Come find me. Reply, zap, follow. I’m glad you’re here. #Christianity #GrowNostr
