Decisions, decisions... Pay $250 for a parking pass that's only good for three months (boo!), or drive to a bus stop 10 minutes away, or walk to a closer bus stop that doesn't have parking but its a 40 minute walk, which means 80 min of walking every day. I like walking, but 80 min... 😒 Retrying this note - technical farts.

🤔 every book I've ever read is the best book I've ever read. If it wasn't, I'd put it down. My last best book ever was The Perennial Philosophy. My current best book ever is Biology 11th ed. from McGraw Hill. I have a couple new books coming that I'm really excited about, about how to merge genetic engineering with materials science. They should've arrived yesterday. Not sure mail will come on a Sunday, but I'll be checking.

🤔 thinking about Iran... I was wondering about religious freedom there, so did a search and found that there are Christian churches and cathedrals there. Here's the cathedrals : - Vank Cathedral (Armenian Apostolic) in Isfahan’s New Julfa. - St. Sarkis Cathedral (Armenian Apostolic) in Tehran. - Cathedral of the Consolata (Catholic, Latin rite) in Tehran. Unfortunately, they don't let new churches be built, and its illegal to try to convert a Muslim. IMO that's really disrespectful to Muslims. They aren't stupid, so don't treat them like children. But compare Iran with Saudi Arabia... No churches. Not a single one. They're basically ISIS that settled into borders. Nothing but murderers. There's something wrong with this situation. Strategically, sure, it makes sense to ally all the weaker countries to gang up on the big country. But maybe we should have some fucking standards first. I think we should require a country to meet our standards on human rights before allying or cooperating in any way. Iran, F'd up as it is, is actually closer to a reasonable standard than Saudi is, and probably Israel too.
