I just experienced an error in the matrix... I can't make this make sense... So, the lab ended at 10am, so I go to the library and studied for 1 hour, then take the elevator up to the testing center to take an exam for my bio class. I'm 100% sure I went up and had by butt in the seat no later than 1105. This test took me a little longer than usual, so after checking all the questions I public a star next to, I exited the test center at 1145. I'm 100% sure of that time because I looked at my phone when I pulled it out of the locker - bags and phones aren't allowed in the testing room. So I had 15 min before my ride would show up, so I went back to the lab to see if anyone was around. I signed in, again looking at my phone for the time. A couple minutes later, in mid conversation, I again look at my phone, and a whole hour has passed. It said 1240-something. I can't account for that hour... Its impossible for me to have spent that time in the test because they have a 75 minute time limit (and i struggle to imagine needing so much time), and its impossible for the time to disappear in mid conversation. Did we just freeze for an hour and then pick up mid sentence without noticing anything? Did the men in black use a neutralizer on me? I'm so confused....

Whoa... Whoa.... Wow! I just discovered Introns. Introns allow one segment of DNA to code for multiple proteins. In humans, we can make over 100k different proteins using only 20k genes.
I found introns and exons yesterday, but I thought exons were all that mattered. Nope.
Bad day to get a wave of brain fog.... Its bad...
VA just called and confirmed my success in my kidney experiment. I raised my eGFR from 67 to 89 - that's all their measurements, but a hospital I was at for the stroke told me my eGFR was 93. So there's some variance and probably a lot of factors to add noise to this signal. But I've got multiple data points on both ends - the low, a year ago ; and the high, current. So I can stop hesitating and acting all scientific - its a clear success.
But the mystery deepens... ๐ค... My blood pressure remains sky high, despite fixing filtration. According to accepted kidney science, blood pressure rises in a (rather stupid) attempt to improve filtration. Since ACE inhibitors do have an effect, I have to determine if the effect is due to elevated angiotenson (spelling?) or if angiotenson is reduced to sub-normal levels. No idea how to test that. Their blood test data might have hints...
I'm gonna crack this puzzle.
๐ pedigrees are definitely not my strongsuit... I'll take molocules over pedigrees any day. I guess that's more reason to lean more into molecular bio
