Moi 2 sats - the work week should be 4 days for men, 3 for women, so that one can always be home to homeschool their kids. And putting kids in public school during their formative years should be legally called neglect, and incur consequences. Yay or Nay? View quoted note โ†’
๐Ÿค” noticed something about my stroke symptoms... The locations on my body that were affected and now have reduced feeling were all locations that already had problems. The eye made it really obvious - right before the stroke, I had pink eye in that eye. Its like my brain was able to prioritize the connections to the healthiest parts and chose to sacrifice the parts already messed up. And considering the complexity of biology... Like, awe inspiring, breath taking, beggars belief complexity... That really ought not to be a surprise.
Class finished crazy early. Nothing left but to take tests. Went back home and made coffee. I feel like this could be a haiku... โ˜•
Breaking Bad... Why the heck is Walt lying so much? Not necessary... Probably like 80% of all his problems is from lying when he didn't have to.
People in class today were talking about people removing Flock cameras. Interesting.
Here's a fun game : try to get an AI to tell you exactly where the international waters are that Iran has been violating. You could even make it a drinking game....
๐Ÿค” the purpose of philosophy, beyond its primary concern of just staring in wonder, is to reconcile two things that are utterly irreconcilable before you "get it." A. Everything is perfect. B. Everything us very very not perfect. Both are true.
My fam thinks I'm nuts. I've been an econ/finance guy all my life, and now suddenly I'm doing classes so I can apply to a PhD in molecular biology. Maybe I'm nuts.
๐Ÿค” its hard to fathom someone going through a calculus class and not grasping the philosophy or the necessity of philosophy for truly understanding it. Not that I'd claim "true understanding" - but the philosophy is a hell of a lot more interesting than the plug n chug. My chem professor misses no opportunity to shit on philosophy - there's some real antagonism going on there. I know she's a math person... I just don't get how the philosophies of Newton and Leibniz aren't blindingly obvious to her. Blows my mind... Well, anyways. Lots to do this weekend, and thinking about her silly comments isn't going to help.
โ˜€ a most excellent Saturday morning! โ˜•โ˜•โ˜• I've made progress on an invention I'm working on - all the pieces already exist, and I'm just putting them together Nakamoto style. The hard part will be after assembly, I'll have to learn bioinformatics to code this sucker. Be the main character in your own RPG.
