Is there any good reason why a printer would need a firmware update? Does that make sense? It doesn't make sense to me.
Fact checked and... Its true. Been having trouble posting this. I suspect its because the OP says "controversial" things. Idk, never seen it before, but if this first thing is true, then maybe everyone is reacting incorrectly. Screenshots below from when I was hoping it was false. View quoted note โ†’ Additional takeaway - they tried to surrender. The moment your enemy tries to surrender and you refuse, you're not the good guy any more. I don't make the rules. Take it up with God or something.
Thank God for AI. Truly... I'd be lost trying to figure this shit out without it. I put in an application to a big local university, which happens to be (on paper) one of the best for my interests. But immediately, I started getting this bad feeling... I listen to my bad feelings. Maybe its God, maybe its just intuition - idk - but I know for a fact that those feelings saved my life on two occasions. But withdrawing my application is a huge problem - I need their labs. Or, labs somewhere, and those are the labs where I'm at. I have no idea about various programs I could apply for. I stuck all this into an AI, and it told me about another way, and it sounds like its a better way anyway... Way.
Most people think a thing is its name. They learn a name, and then they're done. The never look deeper. But a thing is not a name. The name can be anything. A thing is : its function, its purpose, and its failure state. All at once. The most direct way to learn is to destroy.
I think I have an insight about depression. I'm not saying I have it - I know plenty of people who do, though. A big part of it is how society tells us that its not acceptable to not be happy. How much of depression would go away if you were just allowed to act how you feel? No great show of sympathy is required - just be indifferent, rather than shocked, if someone isn't bursting with joy. Don't blame them, or find some punitive revenge by invoking some authority. Just let people be human.
Just attended my first genetics seminar. Kinda cool... I met a few grad students and a professor from Japan. I probably only understood less than half of what was said.
๐Ÿค” fossil evidence shows that arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi have been cloning themselves asexually for at least 460 million years. How, how-Mc-Howenstein? They use a "clamp connection" to constantly test their nuclei, and if a mutation is detected, they use the clamp to block it from dividing again. This maintains genetic health forever. Normally, asexual copying results in eventual breakdown of the DNA - for example, paramecium can divide 350 times before being unable to divide again and must conjugate (bacteria sex) to renew genetic health. The arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi retain the ability to reproduce sexually, which is triggered by nutrient scarcity, but because of its "clamp connection" innovation, is genetically immortal. Ideas... Maintain a personal germline of stem cells that are modified to use this same clamp connection, then either deliver them to aging tissue as needed, or deliver fixed segments via a vector. This is the first possible solution I've found to the ultimate longevity problem - the eventual degradation of the stem cell DNA. This solution might allow us to bypass the telomerase problem entirely.
The politician challenging the incumbent in Texas looks like bad AI. Some people are just kinda goofy lookin, but maybe he actually is AI generated... In this age of ultra easy fakes, isn't it kinda dumb to think these people that only exist on screen are real? There is no believable evidence that democracy is not 100% fake. This guy sure looks fake...
What's the biggest challenge you could tackle in your lifetime? Do it. Its the only way to live without regret.
