Take away: take what is useful from JP and leave what is not. It only shows he is human with flaws. Professor, or whatever job label he is using, does not remove his own emotions and perception of the world. Let me expand... Yes, we have high standards for people in psychology or medicine because the human mind and body are complex and dangerous. That is why it is heavily regulated. But those who work in these industries are also human. They are subject to stress, criticism, personal challenges, dilemmas, self-doubt and identity crises like other people. He has gone through so much in his personal life: his wife battling cancer, the hate comments, lack of sleep, and I believe he went to court against the College of Psychologists in Ontario, as well as the medication he was taking to address his health issues and the occupational hazards of being a public figure/speaker. Yes, all of this is a result of his choices, and he is earning money from it. But no human can go through all these experiences, exposed to all of it, and still come out unscathed. It is inevitable. I am surprised it took this long to see the cracks. The bottom line is, let's give him some grace. Let's be mindful that behind the public figure persona we see on our screens is a human being navigating life like we do. It is easy to dismiss his past work because of who he has become now, or because we no longer align with his views. #nostr tribe any thoughts? #asknostr Has anyone use OBS software on linux distro for vid recording and podcast? My research told me that setting it up takes few tinkering. I have finally put my OBS to a stable state that record properly without a sweat and decent quality from voice and visual. 😁 Haven't had the time to fully test it in Linux though. Maybe I'll do the obs on virtual machine that is Windows and the rest is in Linux. I am going through all my software one by one before fully migrating. Would like to hear your thoughts?
