I’m actually glad that @Bitkey isn’t implementing Lightning. They see the writing on the wall. We’ll have something much better in a couple years, so there’s no point. Anyone with an ounce of aesthetic sense can see that Lightning is a nasty ball of yarn balancing on a house of cards. It’s not a solution for the next hundred years.

Nostr and Bitcoin are very similar in philosophy. Both look at legacy networks and think “yeah those are too private”

What was the Bitcoin wallet that implemented Shamir secret sharing via Matrix messaging? You could spread keys across your own devices or across other peoples’ via matrix chat. Well maybe it was simple multi-sig and not Shamir. But the wallet branding was yellow and it had a bird type name iirc. Not “sparrow” though…

Zaps will never be able to compete with twitter pay outs. We really shouldn’t even try. Remove the financial incentive and return to the pure land of secondary incentives like friends and invisible “clout”

It’s so funny how easy it would be for big twitter accounts to make one tweet “hey I’m on nostr”, but now they depend on MuskBuxx for survival. So they’re stuck. Basically like depending on the government lol
