While privacy coins are important I have a hard time believing they will ever be more popular than say VPNs are in China - used by a small minority. Governments will make them illegal so only hard core will use them. Therefore privacy coins need to be secure without large scale adoption. #xmr #zcash
Just like I suspect the pandemic movies were preparing people for the planned COVID lockdowns and associated increase in authoritarianism I fear that the movie about a coming civil war in the U.S. is likely preparing people for civil war that is planned for the U.S. with associated increase in authoritarianism.
#PSA - If you are ever lost while hiking, get stranded with a broken down car, etc and you notice your cell phone is either low on juice or has no signal, here is a tip that very well may
save your life. Change the voicemail on your phone to a message that gives your approximate location, the time, the date, your situation (lost, out of gas, car broken down, injured, etc) and any special instructions such as you are staying with the car, you are walking toward a town, etc.... The best part of this is that even if your cell phone dies or stops working, voicemail still works, so anyone calling your phone looking for you will hear the message and know where
to find you or where to send help.
I’m quite enthusiastic about Silent payments for #BTC ease of use (just advertise a single wallet address) with improved privacy (creates transaction unique addresses under the hood) I hope more wallets add support (only 2 now)
@Vlad, Bitcoin Takeover Podcast Really interesting podcast with the founder of social network aggregator Mask. Still absorbing but worth a listen if you aren’t familiar with him. The Defiant - DeFi Podcast - Bridging Web2 and Web3: Suji Yan on Mask Network's Vision https://share.podcastguru.io/cMEz
The cost of living “crisis” is real. This is driven by the US trying to maintain hegemony and deglobalizing - in part out of fear of China. Why don’t we (the US) instead try to de-escalate by asking to make reciprocal concessions with China on our military competition and begin re-allowing China to be our workshop. Good jobs for US workers should come from innovation and tackling monopoly power - more businesses competing means both lower prices but also more jobs. A multipolar world is inevitable. Bankrupting ourselves, impoverishing our people, or getting into WW3 is not worth a few more years of hegemony. #economy #peace #inflation #china
