Maybe it was akin to saying 'when will hell freeze,' maybe she really doesn't like him and wanted him to fuck off and he realizes that during pursuing her friends, maybe it's some occult thing and ancient curse, maybe she thought that he would never grow on her but now she started believing it too but since she is a princess in disguise subscribed to an honorary code never to break a promise she now must help him chase the whole gang down.
