Today's #drunkstr was an interesting one. We had a guest with whom we talked about #lotr and Tolkien's motivation, and about Avatar, and Roller Coaster Tycoon by the great Sid Meier, and about dozens of not just YouTube creators. I just love how our weekly pub meeting (the beer is really just accessory) transformed into podcast-quality talks with both recurring and one-shot cast. Admittedly, I'm not always in the right mood if there are only two of us, but I would still say I'd give an arm and a leg for having that tradition. Apparently one more checkbox for ADHD symptoms with a strong preference towards rituals. I should push through and actually find a doctor willing to check if I'm just divergent or actually have problems.

So tired. Workshop went as expected, had to pick up the boots, do some grocery shopping, sell ice skates the kids had outgrown, fix the garden fence, hide snow shovels and snow bobs, ate pizza, put something in the attic, load the dishwasher. And I still have an hour to work before the pub, and I am tired. Maybe I AM getting old.

Dropped the kid off at a tryout lesson for self-defense/martial arts. So yet another forced leisure time for me. Not really enough to do anything that would feel useful... Old shops are something else. Went back from the shoemaker. NOT your mom-and-pop shop. In a barely heated room, walls stocked with various sized boxes on par with Ollivander's wand shop, an old beardy man sitting at a desk with a lamp that serves as the single poor light source. In response to a greeting, he grunts something that could be "good day to you too" as well as a death threat to your entire bloodline, maybe both. Comes across as a little arrogant, not in the modern influencer way, but in a way that you feel like he tolerates dealing with you - and interrupting him from his arcane studies - just because of the necessity to bring bread to the table, nothing personal. He has wares, if you have coin.
