Reading Bitchy Jones's blog for the first time. Interesting sound to the psyche of someone like her. Seems like on a lot of things she takes shortcuts and refuses to see grayscale, but boy, she is adamant in her mission. Nice time capsule, wondering what she does now.

I would love to think that I like the "here's a photo of something that reminded me of You" kind of soulmating. But it's not coming naturally. Guess it would be better if I could send "colour of this nescafe pod reminded me of the strap You wore last night ♥" #hindsight

Always get a little boost when I manage to predict a situation and make room for the public bus. Like being in a traffic jam, seeing that a bus needs to clear a turn, and stopping long ahead of time to let the cars before me clear the turn. Same with emergency services - I can't understand people surprised, moving over at the last seconds. It's not that big a boost as a compliment from a lady, but it still counts. Wondering if I feel good because I do good, or do good because it feels good.

But you know, sometimes it's under a little hood. Sometimes it can be bigger. And all is moot if she hasn't found what she likes to do with it (only yet, hopefully).

Talked with someone who brought a small-form e-ink reader with only two buttons, KISS principle. I remember vaguely thinking about buying one, but not finding a defence for it since my trusty old Kindle still works. Hope at least one kid will take the bookworm perk after their father, and I could retire the Kindle to them and upgrade for myself 😅

Late night, trying to find my phone to take a picture of the youngest's toe (somewhat reddish, complains of pain, so I need to have something to compare it to in the morning). Can't find it, use Her phone to call myself. Got it, opened up and see "Missed call (1)". Immediately got angry - who the fuck has the audacity to call me in the middle of the night! Fully awake, realise it's me. Sleep safely chased away by the adrenaline spike, though. #parentstr #SuchIsALifeOfAdventurer

Always thought one should be considered lucky if their kinks are at least partially realisable. That the poor souls with kinks like vorophilia had it much much worse, being sentenced to a lifetime of knowing it's out of their reach, just fantasising about it. Coming to terms that knowing the impossibility of it for sure is in some twisted sense better than having the always-maybe of the former.

I played Star Control quite late - some open source port actually - but even when my understanding of English and the story was abysmal, I was fascinated by the intertwined stories, and how the game actually had morals that pushed them to their resolution, they just don't bother telling you who/what or why. The absence of hand-holding and the overarching story seeded across the universe really appealed to me (though sometimes through caricatures of the characters). Recently I found that they had a shoutout section in the manual, for sci-fi/fantasy authors that inspired them. I should update my kindle library.... (I really like this creator, he posts lot of factorio, but sometimes gems like this)
