So many cowardly misogynists in my comments lately. If I post anything supporting women not being abused in the world they will show up to try to find some flaw in what I said. If I post anything critical of patriarchy they will find some reason to lay into me and accusing me of being hateful. And when I finally just ask them if they support patriarchy… poof, they disappear. Until the next post of course. Utter fucking cowards. Just come out and say you want the world to be a straight male dominated hierarchy! And yes I am certainly going to tell you to fuck off and block you. But geez dude, it’s just social media. Have the courage of your convictions.

I hear a lot that Islam is just a more inherently hateful religion than Christianity. But when I do some research on the Quran vs the Bible, I don't find clear evidence of that. The bible actually has a higher total number of patriarchal versus. And I remember all the wildly violent stories from the old testament... wow. So, if you are someone who holds this view, who thinks that Islam is inherently more hateful... not just that Islam is currently being practiced in more brutal ways around the world which is clearly the case, but if you think this is the result of something inherent to Islam, please provide me the evidence of that. I don't want your angry rant, I don't want your outrage. I want your evidence.

Excuse me while I sound like a hideous bitch for a moment. I was born with a good amount of intelligence. I don’t deserve credit for that, it just happened. But also over the years I’ve developed quite a lot of knowledge, and perspective, and emotional regulation and maturity. That I do deserve credit for. When I feel like it, when I’m in the mood, I just run circles around people. And generally it’s not that I’m smarter, although I often am, it’s more that I’m aware of what I’m thinking and feeling and I know how to listen to those signals. I notice when I’m falling into a silly trap. I know when I’m full of shit and I can stop myself from saying dumb indefensible things. And I’m capable of at least feigning being cool and collected. So, sometimes, I just calmly hit people with facts and perspectives that I know will bug them. And I back them into corners, etc. until they work themselves up into a little ball of anger and call me names or stomp off. And that amuses me. So look I’m not a sociopath, I’m just sometimes a bit of a bitch and I’m trying to tell you, intelligence is great, but if you are unregulated, if you are a jumble of unprocessed emotions, then you are vulnerable to having people run circles around you. You are vulnerable to being yanked around for other people’s amusement. And note that repressed emotions are not regulated emotions. The repressed people are like little bombs and they are the easiest to set off.

My kid was telling me about some drama between her friends and she noted that one of them is lacking in social skills. She said "he's just walkin around out here undiagnosed... Kinda like your Bitcoin friends." 😑😑 nah kid nah... Most of my Bitcoin friends are diagnosed! 😂 🤦🏻‍♀️

Organized religion is a laggard in human evolution. Let me be very clear here, I’m shitting on organized religion and not on religious beliefs. I hold some religious flavor beliefs myself. However, religious organizations are rooted in an ugly past. And of course a lot of thing are! But if we are going to call out other organizations for holding on to ugly old beliefs, as I certainly do, then I don’t think religious organizations should be exempt from our moral standards. I could walk into any place of worship for any of the Abrahamic religions to ask them about their stance on various topics and there are very good odds that I would be told that being gay is a sin and women are not fit for leadership. Now I imagine that they would use very nice words to say that, but the message would be clear. There are also pretty decent odds that it would be implied that if I do not adhere to these standards, that I am deserving of eternal torture. It blows my mind that we just casually accept that when we certainly wouldn’t in an organization of any other type.

I have a general policy of calling people out when I hear them say ugly things. And nearly always those people will get angry at me for that and say all sorts of things such as “You’re too sensitive” or “I have free speech” and my favorite, “It’s just a word!” And yes, they are entirely correct. It’s just a word, and words don’t really matter, it’s just a sound. But, intentions do matter. I don’t care about the word itself, I care about the intention. “Bitch” is a good example. I will at times call a friend a “crazy bitch”, but in a playful context where it is clear that my intention is joking or even complementary. That same friend may have just yesterday encountered some asshole at a bar that got mad at her when she wasn’t interested in him and called her a “fucking bitch!” In that context it’s clear that his intention was to insult her and to insult her specifically because she is a woman. And this friend is going to respond to these two situations very differently. Same word, very different intentions. It’s always all about the intention. The same word is a very different thing when used light heartedly vs when used as an insult.

A threat to justice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

A word is just a sound. It doesn't have any meaning beyond the intention that it was spoken with.

Don't be so sensitive, it's just a joke.
