I don’t care about a strategic reserve for the US to prolong its hegemony. Small indebted countries & individuals especially when generally disadvantaged would be clever if they acquired or mined some BTC. It will make the wealth inequality smaller. That’s what Bitcoin was made for. The chance is now.

This is a privacy nightmare! As Chivo was/is basically a state operated wallet every user is affected. „Bitcoin addresses owned … by all legal persons“ Interesting will be who has the keys to the Bitcoin bought by the Bukele administration. View quoted note →

Just canceled my X blue check subscription. Definitely not supporting a centrally owned absolutely politicized platform.

When I started with Bitcoin I monitored the price. Eight years later I monitor the transaction costs. image

Wow, I can remember the Central African Republic‘s stunts as making #bitcoin legal tender and SangoCoin, but I didn’t know that the regime is scamming its population on a regular basis with self-issued shitcoins. Well, in this regard they are on a level with Trump and his bunch of scammers. View quoted note →

The effect of this de facto monopoly is, that any authoritarian government can target individuals for any reason- for instance claim, they are terrorists,-press charges and request to release the chat metadata (contacts, locations) from the centralized Meta database. Zuckerberg will comply. View quoted note →

Same with WhatsApp in many African countries … you get free „internet“ which only consists of Meta products. View quoted note →
