My new article captures the current state of Bitcoin in Zimbabwe. The country had six currency collapses since 1980.
Bitcoin hasn't solved Zimbabwe's broader economic problems. It won't fix corruption, infrastructure, or international sanctions, but for people willing to learn, it offers something Zimbabwe's government cannot take away: financial sovereignty.
I'm sharing the story of a farmer, because too many Bitcoin discussions stay theoretical. Critics dismiss it as speculation; maximalists oversell it as a panacea.
The truth is more practical: in countries with broken monetary systems, Bitcoin provides tools that actually work - if you're willing to learn and adapt. Ethan's farm isn't running on ideology; it's running on math and incentives that align with reality.

I don’t know which country is worse in handling their currency.
Venezuela or Zimbabwe.
From my stays in Zimbabwe I can confirm what is written below.
No one wants or uses the national currency that is announced as being backed by gold. There is no trust in the system- and no wonder after six currency crashes since 1980.
Separate money and state!

I want to onboard communities in Zambia and Mozambique their currencies are missing, which makes it understandably hard for them to use it.
Bitcoin includes, not excludes.

Lantern is fantastic! Would be great if Lantern had a planning tool to publish on certain dates and times. nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc

Bitcoin is the wheel. Everything else? Just sledges.
After 8 years using Bitcoin across Africa—from Zimbabwe to Kenya, South Africa to Zambia—one thing is clear: it just works.
Yet new "innovative" payment systems keep getting built with the same old flaws: intermediaries, control, friction.
The cost of delay isn't just the money spent building—it's the opportunity cost of missing the revolution happening right now.

That was close.
We got some more time to make the general public aware of the dangers of digital surveillance.
No privacy, no democracy, no human rights.

Will be in a space with many Bitcoiners soon, let’s see who I will find.
I visited a farmer in Zimbabwe, who explains how Bitcoin brings stability to businesses in a country whose national currency was debased and all value destroyed several times in the last 40 years.

What I like about Bitcoin is that it gives me trust.
I can trust that my money belongs to me.
I can trust that no one can block me from using it.
I can trust that no one can inflate it.
In a world full of deception, surveillance and manipulation trust is essential.
