Your car is snitching on you. You probably already know that but do you know how much info the Terms and Conditions of some manufacturers actually want to collect? Speed and hard braking? Sure. Sexual behaviour? You bet! Willingness to share with law enforcement WITHOUT a warrant? Heck yeah! Seriously. Disconnect.

Yesterday I learned Canada's standing, "ready to be deployed" armed forces (army, navy, and air force), is smaller in number than the NYPD! Let that sink in. This is a GREAT interview no matter which country you're in.

So Trump didn't tariff Canada and Mexico day 1. I don't know about Mexico but Canada owes a lot to Danielle Smith, the Premier of Alberta for her diplomacy. The rest of the country's leadership is in total disarray. Trudeau and Doug Ford can fuck right off. That said, I can be thankful that the tariffs are still on the table. You see, Trudeau prorogued parliament (shut it down) to save his own ass in a less than graceful exit and to save his party's ass as they have a leadership contest for who will be PM. That proroguing has been challenged in court. The threat of the tariffs play a huge part in the inexcusable shutdown request. If overturned, parliament resumes immediately. That won't be known until Feb 7th meaning the 9th. The first thing that the opposition parties will do in committee is propose non-confidence and the house will go non-confidence. Trudeau will still be PM and have to face a HUGE election loss. Oh, Canada will suffer, no doubt. But the liberal party, as a result of their shenanigans, will never be forgiven and will be utterly destroyed never to recover for decades, if ever. I hope Doug Ford also takes that fall. And Jagmeet Singh. Politics is wild and these bitches weren't even playing in the same sandbox.

I don't care where you stand politically. That's your bag. But I'm pretty sure we can all agree that this is fucked up! An anti-Trump protest (sparsely attended) outside the US consulate in Toronto had a facial recognition surveillance crew drive by. Who was it for? We don't know. Was it Canadian? American? Somebody else? We don't know. That the faces are uncovered tells me they ain't antifa leftist bitches at the protest. https://x.com/CarymaRules/status/1881109745748365763 image

The ridiculousness of the past 48hrs. Shitcoin Trump then Melania. The effect on BTC rising, dropping, and rising again. The pumps, the dumps... Like a month of happenings in all of a day... Oh, yeah, that's what a Trump presidency is like. I forgot that part of the last time we went around.

This, right here, is some Black Mirror shit. Russia has been training drone pilots by live hunting the residents of Kherson, Ukraine. Sickeningly it's called a "safari". https://archive.ph/mXIV0

T-2days till Trump. I'm optimistic about America's prospects and fearful for my own Canada's. The tariffs will come, not because Trump but because of our own ESG, DEI, socialist, feckless, self serving bleadership (sic). It was all so simple: fix your border (who you let in the country, Canada, and all Canadians know it) or face a 25% tariff. They didn't. They don't. They're broke. And they fight Trump with non-existent threats. The Canadians are divided. Alberta, under Danielle Smith, is looking for more partnership. The lame duck "intending to resign" Trudeau and his lackey, the Premier of Ontario (who beat Trudeau in timing to lockdowns and emergency measures and aligns himself more closely with friend Tim Walz), threatens counter tariffs and holding back energy. The thing is: - all oil pipeline go to the US. Since we have only one customer and no refinery's we sell the oil at a discount. - we can't just shut off electricity to NY and Michigan because that would create an unbalanced grid causing more harm than good. - we could just fix the borders, but n no. Anyone not aware that entrance into Canada is a weak and pathetic system hasn't been paying attention. Most Canadians are keenly aware with news stories of drugs and terrorist activities growing. The counter argument has always been "racism" but that's simply not the case with many immigrates Canadians from 10-3l20 years ago also seeing that the system is broken. - Trudeau is a lame duck so why negotiate with a "leadership" that won't be there in 6 weeks? So what will the tariffs do? Crush Canada's economy in the short term. Jobs will be lost. Factories will idle. Trucks will not move. Income will drop. GDP will drop. The govt will be in more debt. Unemployment will go up. Social unrest will increase. The Canadian Dollar will fall more (currently and abysmal $0.69USD/$1CAD). Canada produces very little and prices will rise. Gas, refined in the US and prices in USD, will rise.vegetables, fruit, meat, and finished goods will rise. Unaffordability will rise. But I and my family are protected. How? The only Canadian investments we have are Energy. Everything else is, and has been for many years, US and Bitcoin. In fact, I predict my family will come out ahead on this turmoil. Oh, and I also have dual citizenship so if I wanted to I could move to the US today. Roots run deep, though, so that's one reason why we haven't. But let's see how this all plays out... Who knows?

Mara crafting their own block? Or someone did and Mara mined it. Whoever it was it cost $637k CAD for 4.369 BTC to do this. Kinda neat, I guess. Free marketing so there's that. I still feel kinda cringe about the whole thing. I mean it's forever on the chain. image

Former Governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England (gee, how are those two countries doing?) Mark Carney bragged on The Daily Show about how the carbon tax "benefits 70% of Canadians with more money". The official Liberal party line is 80%. Both are full of shit. Oh, and he showed up to his leadership campaign launch in a stretch Rolls Royce. If he wins leadership he is automatically the Prime Minister (until the govt falls likely 2 (two) days later). He wrote a book all about the problems with capitalism and is a full on central planner. And what kind of message does he bring Canadians? Let's just say his new name is Marx Carney. #canada #politics

Tax what you want less of, subsidize what you want more of. Canada taxes productivity to an extreme and subsidizes poverty (especially the underemployed enslaved poverty of circumstance). @FRANCIS - BULLBITCOIN.COM and @joey this goes along with much of what you were talking about in your latest podcast.

What is the state of Canada in these days? Well, there I was, in a smaller town just today. I'm a trucker and when we cross the border we use bolt seals or cable seals that meet certain govt approved anti tampering standards. They require bolt cutter to get off. I had lost mine (again) leaving it on the trailer I had last delivered. So I went to a Home Depot to get a new one. They have saws, and blades, and nail guns, and flammable substances, and axes, all sorts of things that could really do a number on someone or something. And they had four different bolt cutters. Guess which item was in a locked cage? Requiring assistance to retrieve? Then walking you up to the cashier to ensure you pay? If you said Bolt Cutters, you're right! I was shocked. They told me it was one of their most stolen items and that people take them to then break into other things (like trailers of your local handyman or contractor, shops, yards, truck trailers, etc). That is the state of Canada these days people are stealing tools so they can steal other things. Pathetic.

I found something cheaper in Canada than the US! DEF is $3.03USD/gallon in Canada vs $4.60/Gallon in the US! That's actually pretty significant. Wonder why DEF is so expensive in the US.

Dr. Drew faces the wrath of censorious YouTube and proves why protocols over platforms will be the victor ultimately. No, he isn't aware of Nostr, and praises X. Others suggest Rumble. But it is also interesting to see how quick a BIG voice gets action from the overseers. Sound familiar @NICO⚡️?

Next #beerstr of the day is Flying Monkeys Sparkle puff. A craft beer that I enjoy based out of Barrie, ON. This isn't a triple IPA that you'd want to pound back all day. Now the 10.2% ABV. They add "peach flavour" which is noticeable and sweetens up what would likely have been a very dank hoppiness. image
