👨‍💻 Big update Excited to announce a big update to @Bitcoin Calendar project. Bitcoin Calendar migrated to SQLite databse, which now allows to query events by tag, date, range, and so on. The project also now supports API calls (for inter-app communications for now), external API calls will become available in Q3. Next step – setting up own web archive to ensure no Bitcoin historical reference is ever lost. See additional info and support the project at bitcoin-calendar.org image

🗣️ Nick Szabo on Bitcoin On May 28, 2011, Bit gold author Nick Szabo commented on #Bitcoin in his blog: "Nakamoto improved a significant security shortcoming that my design had, namely by requiring a proof-of-work to be a node in the Byzantine-resilient peer-to-peer system to lessen the threat of an untrustworthy party controlling the majority of nodes and thus corrupting a number of important security features. Yet another feature obvious in hindsight, quite non-obvious in foresight." Read more about Szabo and Bit gold on 21ideas:

🏙️ New York Disagreement Day The Bitcoin scaling agreement, better known as the "New York Agreement", jointly proposed by over 50 companies at the Consensus 2017 conference, added fuel to the "block size war" in 2017. The New York Agreement was intended to end the long-standing debate about #Bitcoin #scaling by increasing block capacity through the activation of Segregated Witness and doubling the block size (i.e., SegWit2X).
