A late bloomer in life ! Former HR worker, finding it hard to re-enter the workforce (ageism exists!). Making ends meet by teaching meditation and dog training. Also decided to pursue my passion (writing). I have a master's in making my tragedies seem funny. Die-hard #PhiladelphiaEagles fan love #yoga, dancing, Columbo reruns, #jazz, and #blues. Classic #Virgo, and can overthink just about everything.

I think one of the seniors I drove to the polls yesterday is trying to kill me. She made me a spicy vegetarian dish. She said, "It's just a little spicy." I took three bites ten minutes ago, and I'm still crying. My throat is scorched, and I have fire coming out of my mouth like a dragon from Game of Thrones. I think I"m gonna die. If you never hear from me again, it's been real.๐Ÿ”ฅ

If someone fell asleep in 2000 and woke up today, and they asked you to update them on the last 23 years in just two sentences, what would you tell them?

I think I just set a record for number of sneezes in a row. Is it my imagination, or is allergy season in the northeast/mid-Atlantic longer than it used to be?

SWFL Eagle Cam E22 perched on the U branch. M15 brought a variety of food items for him today. There are so many questions. Harriet died in February. M15 raised his eaglets alone, a feat that not many single eagles could have done. E21 left a week ago, more than prepared for life on her own. E22 will follow suit. The questions are about M15. His first and only mate was Harriet. Who will he choose for his next mate? Fall promises to be violent and chaotic as females fight for him. image

So many people have completely closed their hearts - to others, compassion, empathy, and the potential for love. It's easy to do nowadays when things are so tough. And it's easy to let that heart harden with the years. Not me. I realize having an open heart will result in heartbreak from time to time. But with age, I realize the solution isn't to close it off; it's to just be more careful who I give it to. I will always have an open heart, no matter what. The reward is worth the risk. ๐Ÿ’—
