The problem is oversaturation.
When there was no internet, we had access to one or two smart people in our neighborhoods. Whatever they were talking was interesting and we paid close attention to what they say.
Nowadays, all the smartest people are online posting their wisdom mostly for free. And here comes the problem. Now, the competition for attention is so high, that just wisdom doesn't cut it. Now, to be able to win the viewers over, you need to entertain them, make them laugh and cry, pull all of their evolutionary strings, engagement bait them, promise everything for nothing, and gift a fortune on top. If you don't do that, someone else will do it and catch all the viewers/readers. And in all this circus wisdom becomes irrelevant.
This tendency is very bad and it will lead to a grandiose collapse.
