it’s interesting how many “solutions” from the Federal government involve further erosion of your freedom.

when i heard rumblings of a pandemic in January of 2020, having some knowledge of the history of pandemics which had come out of Wuhan and swept acros the world, I took some pretty serious preparation steps. I even started wearing n95 masks before most people had even heard about what was coming. people looked at me like i was crazy. two months later, after catching the first round and being out for 10 days, then looking at the numbers being put out, i came to the conclusion that it was bullshit, and something creepy was going down. I stopped wearing masks, and the same people who looked at me crazy before, were all wearing masks, and looked at me like I was crazy for not wearing one. I feel the same way about politics now. i was early on the "wake up" train. and now, while I do think there is a political "virus" out there so to speak, i think much of what is happening all around us is a construction to keep us engaged, and to keep them important. Because the secret the legacy political systems dont want you to see, is that they dont matter nearly as much as they want you to believe they do. At absolute maximum, 20% of the "things that urgently matter" actually matter at all. What they want, is for you to BELIEVE. To believe what they say, and what they do, is of critical importance to the world. But have you ever wondered what would happen if they all just disappeared, or just stopped talking? Or no one let their words or plans affect any decision they made in life? If everyone believed they didnt matter, would they still matter?

continuing my rabbit hole of the history of western thought. learning about the Sophists, which i would catagorize as the woke inflooencers of the ancient greek world, who convinced of their own wisdom, would charge people, expecially people who wanted to be famous or run for office, exhorbitant fees to hear their truth. Except, they didnt believe in truth. They believed all truth was relative. And 'lived experience' was the only truth. from this maylay, emerges the 4chan troll of the ancient Greek world, Gorgias, who trolls the entire intellectual class by persuasively arguing using Sophistic logic, that nothing at all exists. had he left any writings behind, they would have been in aLtCaPs. there is no new retardation under the sun.

still laughing after learning there were fitness influencers, lifestyle (look how rich and hot i am) influencers and political commentators in the Greco-Roman world. And that this gave rise to the Sophists, “how to be an influencer” influencers who would charge a fee for advising people on how to be more popular and get elected. There is no new retardation under the sun. 🌞

til, the battle of Morgarten. Where 1500 farmers lured 9000 trained, armed Knights into a narrow pass between a mountain and a lake, and pushed rockslides and rolling logs down on them destroying the entire army. Giving birth to Switzerland. 🇨🇭
