Echoes v0.4.10 is out
Fixed a real bug behind the "sync doesn't work" / "deleting a note hangs" reports: publishing sent one request per relay, and that could reset the entire relay pool whenever one relay was slow or unreachable. Now it's a single broadcast with one shared timeout — a flaky relay can't take the others down with it.
Also: note previews keep bulleted lists on separate lines instead of running them together, and strikethrough joins the formatting toolbar.
Offline-first, end-to-end encrypted notes on Nostr.

Am I the only one that's suffering massive battery drains from Amethyst?
I even blocked its background execution, there is no way it drained 10+% in just a couple of hours.

🚗 Voyager v0.2.1 is out
A round of fixes and improvements driven entirely by real driving/testing sessions:
🗺️ Reworked navigation HUD — bigger speedometer, no more dead whitespace in the trip card, turn instructions docked out of the way instead of covering the map
🎨 Settings now has a light theme option (the driving surfaces stay dark, always — that part's not negotiable for windscreen use)
🎵 Multiple music folders as a source
☁️ Weather now respects your imperial/metric preference
🔧 Fixed Amber (NIP-55) login doing nothing — missing Android manifest entry
🔇 Music/podcasts now actually stop when you swipe the app away, not just when backgrounded
Still 100% open source, no telemetry, no Google libraries — verified against the built APK every release.

🚗 Introducing Voyager — an automotive dashboard built on Roadstr
I've been driving with a phone mounted on my dashboard for years, and every app on it was either a spyware or closed source.
So I vibecoded Voyager: one screen that wraps Roadstr's navigation and adds music, podcasts, weather, on-device voice guidance and phone — all sized for a car, not a pocket.
What you get:
🗺️ Roadstr navigation, unmodified in substance — OSM maps, OSRM routing, ZTL alerts, speed cameras, community reports over Nostr
🎵 Music from your own Navidrome/Jellyfin or local files, gapless, with a 5-band EQ (genre presets from Winamp -80s and 90s kids know what I'm talking about- included)
🎙️ Podcasts — search, subscribe, play. No account.
☁️ Weather that tells you what actually matters for driving
No account. No analytics. No Google libraries.
Credentials encrypted on-device, sign-in with Amber, don't rawdog your nsec, what happened to Ditto (and how good they were to fix it) is a valuable lesson.
GPLv3, 100% open source.
v0.1.0 is out now, available on zap
or fetch it via Obtanium directly from
Built for the car, not adapted to it. Try it, break it, open an issue.

Astraea 0.4.1 is out ⚡
A calendar that never asks for your key.
🔑 NIP-46 bunker login — on Android AND Linux
Paste a bunker:// string and your nsec never touches the device. Astraea keeps only a throwaway client key that your signer authorizes and can revoke whenever it wants. On Linux the same connection also gives the background service unattended signing, with zero key material on the machine.
🔄 Syncs the moment you open it, so your agenda is already current before you touch anything.
🖼️ Android home-screen widgets finally show a real preview in the picker instead of an empty placeholder grid.
🔒 And a hardening round: a total memory budget on relay responses, bounded reads on the local socket, a cap on the relay list, and no more pubkeys in device logs.
Your events are NIP-44 encrypted end to end. No account, no server of mine, relays you pick yourself. Offline-first — the network is optional, always.
APK + Debian packages, checksums in the notes:
GPL-3.0. Audit it, fork it, break it.

Echoes v0.4.5 is out 🎨✅
New look — fresh icon, splash and colours across Android, Linux and web.
Checklists finally behave like a shopping list should:
• Previews show only what's still to do, so you stop buying things you already have
• Ticked-off items collapse into their own section instead of burying today's list
• Type a word progressively and it suggests what you already ticked off — tap to put it back, no duplicates
Sync fixes that matter:
• Images and voice notes deleted by a file host get re-uploaded from your local copy
• Timestamps travel as UTC, so an edit made in another timezone can't lose a merge
Offline-first, end-to-end encrypted notes on Nostr. Your notes never leave your device unencrypted, and nothing is published without you asking.
