Back when I was still on Malaysian Muslim Twitter, I often noticed how many defended the banking system’s usury nature, sometimes without realising it, simply because it carried the label “Islamic Bank.” Whenever alternatives were suggested, avoiding unnecessary loans, living simply, renting a house, sacrificing some comfort, or even buying a little BTC, those voices were brushed aside as unrealistic, , unattainable, even crazy.
