I describe last days of using @SimpleX Chat as awful. Nothing seemed to work right. (I was using the app with a VPN connection in the past). After some experimenting I figure out I have to activate #orbot at the same time to be able to send something to the outside world. Is this new? Why is not necessary to a different kind of smartphones?

Non-TV owner for 14 years, but I found myself at a friend’s house and watched the news and various programs on their TV yesterday and today, mainly about the German elections but also in general. The level of propaganda, distortion of meanings and words has reached an unbelievable level. So many lies, misinformation, and blatant dumbing down in the most shameless way. Unfortunately, this extends beyond television into other aspects of life as well—slowly and steadily. Keep children away from all this. Through conversation at home and a way of life that helps erase the junk entering their minds every day ( school, media, music etc).
