Why do the fans of The Witcher (novels, lore etc) hate so much on the new season? In fact, Liam isn't that bad in his role. The real reasons why fans of the Witcher are upset is because Lauren Schmidt Hissrich destroyed the lore. She went as far away from the source material she possible could without having to give the show a new name. I took this apart, with some help from GPT to show you how far they went with the latest season. So ignoring the atrocity of turning Princess Ciri into a woke lesbian, let's begin. CORE DEVIATIONS FROM THE BOOKS -> Major character deaths diverge sharply from the novels. Vesemir dies at Montecalvo in the show, but survives in the books. Istredd dies by sacrifice in the show, which does not occur in the novels.
