Programmer, musician, thinkboi.
Some half-baked ideas to add to this note.
1. It should be possible to meaningully define entropy in a social group modeled as a graph (e.g. with net value transfers or something similar as edges).
2. High entropy would correspond to a completely egalitarian group, with no preferred "value sinks" (like large companies or powerful individuals).
3. Low entropy would correspond to a highly centralized, rigid structure.
4. Enter the concept of criticality - if we postulate that a healthy social group should behave in a way akin to a living organism, the healthiest groups would be those living on the "edge of chaos", sitting somewhere in the middle of the allowable entropy range. View quoted note →
Sungazer is a band founded by Adam Neely (yep, the music youtuber) and Shawn Crowder. As expected from those nerds, they make the kind of jazz fusion that can really make your head spin. Extreme rhytmic complexity, weird tuplets and non-regular swing, jazzy melodies and harmonies, lots of metal influences, tasty sax solos - all in one package. Enjoy the ride!

@chad I'm trying to add a cache on Treasures (Android) and I'm unable to send anything. Can't upload a photo and cannot send the event (both timing out).
I have the treasure cached on my device, but it is marked as "not synced". Any hints?
The beef is in. #meatstr

Yo @Sirius! I'm setting up an pretty complex nvpn mesh for my org, combining Linux VPSes, physical servers (Windows) and dev machines (Windows/Linux).
It's all working almost perfectly, but there's one issue - Magic DNS names don't seem to resolve on the Windows machines. It's just a minor inconvenience, but maybe there's a workaround?
Yo @Minibits I wrote you a DM about a stuck transaction - Lightning payment went through, didn't receive ecash. Tagging you here as I'm not sure if you received the NIP-17 DM (freedom tech, fuck yeah!).

@Bitcoin FilmFest was great and all, but the coolest thing that happened is that I realized the word "popcorn" sounds like "cock porn". Feel free to make use of this amazing fact whenever someone says "popcorn" in your presence. Highly recommend shouting "COCK PORN" to their face. Tried this on my wife (multiple times) and it was the funniest shit ever.
I guess I stopped maturing after the age of 12 and have been only growing since then.
Guess who's running a local @BitBlik instance in the browser, open at all times on his work computer.

And here's another experiment. After one of my mushroom trips, I got a strange idea of using @Inanna's make-up to paint my face. This is the result:
I was reminded of this photo when I was experimenting with OpenClaw and was looking for a nice avatar for the bot's nostr profile. So I took it, applied several rounds of stylization with Nano Banana and voila!

View quoted note →At @Bitcoin FilmFest a panel took place where the participants discussed the role AI will play in the future of art. One of them mentioned that it might enable aspiring artists who don't possess the necessary skills to express the art that they have inside them. Inspired by that, I thought that I should share what I did a while ago with digital painting and Nano Banana. I started drawing an image that had come to my mind, but quickly realized that I won't have the time or energy to build up adequate artistic skills required to finish the piece. So I fed a half-baked sketch into Gemini, gave it some color samples and here's what happened. I'm also sharing the initial sketch, so that you might get the feeling of the tool's capabilities.

Guys, you have to check out @npub1ah55...l8pw!
It's a streaming platform where you pay with sats by the second of watched material. This is such a great distribution model that I can't even. Go to

Holosoil is one of my latest and greatest musical discoveries. A brand new German prog rock/metal band (more Tool than Rush type of prog), playing really advanced stuff that just screams intelligence, but not in a self-indulgent fashion. You can hear that the vocalist deeply understands rhythm, so a) the vocal parts don't have to be dumbed down as is common for many prog bands b) the resulting melodies are fucking awesome. Enjoy!
BTW, a call to the #demu folk: please try to bring these guys to nostr. They sound nerdy enough to get it.

This is one of the most brutal tracks on my playlist. For many of you, it will might be difficult to listen to, but it is definitely worth getting accustomed to.
I feel that only in this kind of music can one capture the fact that tremendous beauty can be found in the anguish of a soul being violently transformed. Born one thing and becoming another.

Thomas Seyfried discusses the metabolic-mitochondrial theory of cancer with Mike Levin:
Pretty advanced material, but definitely worth watching. This is one of the most important breakthroughs in medicine in years, happening right before our eyes.
TLDW: Cancer is a metabolic disease, not a genetic one and you have to be retarded to think otherwise. Tumor progression can be slowed down, halted or even reversed by lowering glucose, increasing ketones (with diet and fasting) + targeting glutamine metabolism with drugs (this is strictly necessary!; diet alone won't suffice). There are lab experiments and human case studies that prove it beyond reasonable doubt.
