Since we’re all doing our #Bitcoin journey stories… Here’s mine: May 2009 - my sister’s then bf told us he heard about something called Bitcoin on Reddit. 🙄 I disliked him and ignored anything he said. Didn’t give it a second thought. I was off to grad school. ✌🏻 June 2014 - coworker brings up Bitcoin at the office and we look it up online. We both kind of stare at the price and laugh in disbelief. That’s cool - then I just kept on with my life. December 2017 - same coworker texts me to ask if I’d seen the price of #Bitcoin on the news. I hadn’t. I go online to look it up. (Shoot! It’s over $10k - should’ve bought some in 2014. I guess I missed the boat.) Summer 2020 - I was working from home. The world was closed, so I had a lot of time to listen to podcasts and watch YouTube videos. I came across #Bitcoin again. I paid closer attention this time around. Fall 2020 - I finally had the courage to actually buy some #Bitcoin. Not much but just to test the waters. Early to Mid 2021 - “gradually then suddenly” 🫠 I immediately regretted not buying more #Bitcoin in 2020. This is when I got major #FOMO and finally got serious about committing to a #BTC DCA. Summer 2023 - unfortunately, I lost my private keys in a boating accident off the pacific coast. RIP 🪦 #Bitcoin stack 🥲 I’m thankful for the journey.

If you’re ever wondering how early we are to #bitcoin you should read some of the responses I get from my college economics students on their bitcoin assignment. #economics #college #plebchain #plebs #btc #nostr #growstr Here are a few examples. Student #1: I always thought bitcoin was a coin you buy, that was very expensive, and it would increase in value. Like in my mind you go online, buy a gold coin, and it would increase in value after a couple years. Student #2: I think that Bitcoin doesn’t have that big of an impact on society because I have never used Bitcoin and I do not know anyone that has or uses bitcoin. Also I only saw anything about Bitcoin on the news and that's when it was extremely popular. Student #3: Before this assignment, I had heard about Bitcoin multiple times, but I never knew the true value of it. I had only really known about it due to videos and memes on multiple social media apps. Student #4: Bitcoin doesn’t have a place in my personal life at all, but I’m always open to diffrent alternatives and learning about new things as society grows and expands.
