This is true. However, it's not supposed to be pressure, but rather intention. Figure out what you want, and then go find a woman who fits that! View quoted note β†’ This is why we wrote "How to prepare yourself for marriage", to help people get the healthy and practical tools and habits needed to be intentional about finding their spouse, rather than waiting for the Hollywood romance of seeing someone across the room. My dad has been developing electronics since the early 80s, so I grew up hearing how awful apple was, and I would add the joke of how if I got an apple product I'd be disowned. There are still no apple products in my household, except for the edible kind 😏🀣 View quoted note β†’

It was my son's due date today.πŸ‘Ά (he's already 13 days old) Not remembering that, my husband @LeviJohnson.net and I took him to McDonald's for the first time and had ice cream. Well, he had milk πŸ˜…πŸ€£ Clearly we're such amazing parents that we're winning even when we don't realize it πŸ˜‡πŸ€£

Took our son to church for the first time today. They had communion at the end where we went up to the front to collect the stuff so everyone saw my husband carrying our son. Oh the looks and awe's we got. When it was over, a bunch of different people came over and congratulated us. We've only interacted with like 2 maybe 3 of them previously. Also, the other day when we were carrying our son through the hospital, a bunch of old folk who were there for probaby not fun stuff saw our son and light up. It felt really nice bringing them some joy 😊 Baby's are life, and even someone who's suffering feels joy when they see a baby!

Last night was our sons first dinner out meeting one of our friends. As I took him out of the car seat, I realized I had never done it before. I'd put him in, but my husband must have been the one to take him out of it each time, cause it took me a minute to figure out how to press to get it to unlatch 🀣 #NewMomThings 😎

I just reached a 1270 day streak on Duolingo thanks to my husband who covered for me when I was in the hospital and my phone was hidden somewhere at home. Thank you @LeviJohnson.net

So, I knew baby boys have a tendency to pee while getting a diaper change, which we experienced at the hospital when my husband was changing one of our son's diapers. We got the advice to leave a wipe over it so if he pees, it doesn't go flying. Well, I did not know that projectile poop was a thing until yesterday! 😳🀣 I was changing his diaper when all of a sudden, a stream of poo started flying, some splattered a whole foot away! I'm glad I had a wipe in my hand as I instinctively blocked the exit or else there would probably have been a much bigger mess 🀣🀣🀣 I thought yesterday how I'm probably more strategic about how I change a diaper than most, and now I have even more reason for it, as I don't only need to have it go fast to avoid the flying pee, but apparently also projectile poop 🀣🀣 Things I'm learning as a new mom 😎

Last night I was on a call with my husband while he was getting gas about 15 min away from our place. He'd driven a ways before we ended the call, so a while later I started looking out the window to headlights. Then I saw some headlights, but they didn't turn around like my husband usually does, and I heard a male voice in the distance. I caught that something was weird, but thought maybe it was my husband calling for my attention to come help him with something that had loved after the super windy day we'd had. I brought our son, thinking we were "going to see daddy", but I'm super glad I didn't turn on the lights in the front of our motorhome, because it wasn't daddy! It was some random dude and his lady trying to get out of the maze that is our neighborhood due to all the randomly washed out roads or totally overgrown ones. Staying inside, using the kitchen and my son to cover myself up, and my arms to shield my son, I gave the couple directions for how to get back out. I'm kinda glad that happened last night, as the thought of death and getting shot wasn't on my mind like it is today after what happened to Charlie Kirk. Turned out they went down to where I told them to make the first turn, which they did, but then they stopped halfway down that road where my husband drove past them, giving them the same directions I had. I hope they made it out.

I was sitting with my newborn son when I heard the confirmation that Charlie Kirk was dead. It's still hard to comprehend. I read how he was a father of two young children who have now been left fatherless. Then a new thought occured to me. What if, in 30 years, my son is doing something world changing like Charlie Kirk was, and someone shoots him?! My precious, amazing, already fantastic, funny, adorable, and strongwilled son. Lord Jesus, bless his kids and wife, but also his parents! Comfort them like only You can, Holy Spirit!
